Hi Alpha centauri b!
[edit]Hi, my name is Jennifer Huh (androidhu). I'll be your editing partner for the Wikipedia assignment throughout this semester. It's nice to meet you. Androidhu (talk) 21:05, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Jennifer. I'm still a bit lost about how to do all this "behind the scenes" stuff on Wikipedia. How are you coming along with it all? Do we have an article assigned for us to edit yet?
--Alpha centauri b (talk) 15:52, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- So for this week's unit, I guess each of us has to do assessment for at least two articles. Do you know how to create our group page? I'm a bit lost as well. Androidhu (talk) 01:11, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi Alpha centauri! So for this week, we're supposed to pick one article and write a rationale for our choice. You had a strong interest in two articles that you assessed last week, right? We can choose one between the two. What do you think? Androidhu (talk) 19:23, 4 March 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, is the 5S ribosomal RNA article ok with you? Do you know if we work together to write a single rationale or each come up with our own? If we work together we probably should find a way to speak together at some point. Make sure to put the article on your watchlist if it isn't already. Alpha centauri b (talk) 17:04, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
- Sounds good! Let's work on that article. I think we're supposed to write a single rationale under our group page (should be around 200~300 words). I'm available this afternoon/evening today or anytime tomorrow. My email address is androidhu86@gmail.com so we can probably do gchat? Let me know when is good for you. Androidhu (talk) 17:23, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
Nice work!

Hello from online ambassador
[edit]Hi Alpha centauri b, if it was not for the clouds I could see your namesake in the sky right now. I am one of your online ambassadors. I am around to help you out, You can contact me by email or on my talk page. Since I'm in Australia my timezone is quite different to yours. I have no special knowledge of molecular biology, but I am hoping that you can write so that I can understand it! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:24, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
- For citing I use a cite button that appears above the edit window on the right. When I click that I see a selection of web, book, journal, ... Then I would pic say journal, fill in a doi field and click the symbol to the right of the box to fill in all the rest of the fields. You have to get the doi though. Then click the add button and save. One challenge is to find the dio, but if you do a google scholar search and go to the publishers web site listing for the article there will be a doi listed. Finding the work of another user
[edit]I looks like your partner in group 82I is Androidhu. if you look at their contributions at Special:Contributions/Androidhu you can see al the pages they have edited. Then there you can see User:Androidhu/sandbox, so this is some kind of sandbox. If this does not have what you expect, perhaps they have not started work in it yet. You can always ask them on their talk page at User talk:Androidhu. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:40, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia from the Medicine Wikiproject!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia from Wikiproject Medicine (also known as WPMED).
We're a group of editors who strive to improve the quality of medical articles here on Wikipedia. One of our members has noticed that you are interested in editing medical articles; it's great to have a new interested editor on board. In your wiki-voyages, a few things that may be relevant to editing wikipedia articles are:
- Thanks for coming aboard! We always appreciate a new editor. Feel free to leave us a message at any time on the talk page of WPMED. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the WPMED talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some collaboration when editing!
- Sourcing of medical and health-related content on Wikipedia is guided by our medical sourcing guidelines, commonly referred to as MEDRS. MEDRS typically requires recent secondary sources to support information; its application is further explained here. Primary sources (case studies, case reports, research studies) are rarely used, especially if the primary sources are produced by the organisation or individual who is promoting a claim.
- Wikipedia is a kingdom full of a wide variety of editors with different interests, skills, and knowledge. We all manage to get along through a lot of discussion that happens under the scenes and through the bold, edit, discuss editing cycle. If you encounter any problems, you can discuss it on an article's talk page or post a message on the WPMED talk page.
Feel free to drop a note on my talk page if you have any problems. I wish you all the best on your wiki voyages! --LT910001 (talk) 03:07, 18 April 2014 (UTC)
A bowl of strawberries for you!

I hope you enjoyed editing Wikipedia, and hope you continue to edit it whenever you find problems, or find something that you would like to add. Don't hesitate to contact me or any of the other OAs with any questions, any time you want.
I wish you well in your future studies! Klortho (talk) 02:14, 12 May 2014 (UTC) |
- Thank you. I plan to continue editing on Wikipedia. Thanks for your help. Alpha centauri b (talk) 15:36, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
