@Alex4Gov AZ: The external link was never the issue, the issue with the page was the entire page itself. Wikipedia is not a platform for campaigning or advertising. See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. The main issue here is that you seriously misunderstand the purpose of Wikipedia. This is not a place for campaign advertising; it’s an encyclopedia where facts are neutrally presented. Their pages are not campaign advertisements, unlike yours. @Alex4Gov AZ: There is also a notability aspect that comes into play as well. And the campaigning issue specifically refers to using Wikipedia as a platform for promoting a campaign. The campaigns can be mentioned on the pages of candidates (as long as they’re properly sourced, of course), such as by saying, for example, using the example you provided, “Katie Hobbs ran for governor in the 2022 Arizona gubernatorial election and won against Kari Lake, becoming the governor-elect of Arizona.
