I need some copyright help on Image:Native_mideast.jpg on Middle East page. It is a great image that shows the names of middle eastern countries in their native scripts. Thank you.

Well I've taken a look at the website you got it from and it has the following copyright message

This site is designed for purposes of sharing information freely and intended to be a resource for academics and other private users. Which in short means we can't use it. We need images released under a free license, reusable by commercial (for profit) organisations as well. Suitable licenses would be GFDL or some variants of the creative commons license. You can find more information about copyrights here. You could also email the website concerned and ask for explicit permission to use it under one of the usable licenses, details including a suitable boilerplate can be found here, but again note a license for wikipedia only to use the image is no good, if has to be a free license such that others (including commercial users) can reuse and/or modify the image. --pgk^(talk) 18:08, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
