Sandboxes / User sub-pages
[edit]If you want to make a user sub-page to draft an article, it needs to start with "User:" and your username followed by a forward slash, like "User:Ahaynes 1102/Sandbox". Anything else is an encyclopedia article. A good way to start a sub-page is to go to Help:Userspace draft and fill in the form there, which will do it for you. How I used Wikipedia Before
[edit]I did not use Wikipedia before other than for research. I did not learn about making a page or learning how to edit other pages until I came to this class.
Aralena Contributions to Wiki
[edit]Aralena had over 20 contributions to Wikipedia. She was a credible source for a few of her contributions but I am not sure if she is completely credible because she had a page put up for speedy deletion. Her ideas for the Fiordland Penguins page were very good, I wish she would have added more to it. Her two sentence addition to the Egyptian mythology page was fairly credible.
How Aralena can become more credible
[edit]I think if I referenced a lot more of my contributions, I could become a more credible source. Just by referencing from more than the internet, for example using newspaper articles or books, would make me more credible in the Wiki world.
your article
[edit]Hey, I just reviewed your article on the college kidnappers.I found it to be a well written article, but it lacked much of the information, and did sound jumbled. I would suggest using more sources, and organizing your lead a bit more.Jw07334 (talk) 22:51, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
Contests
[edit]User:Dr. Blofeld has created Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. As someone who has previously expressed interest in African topics, would you be interested in contributing to one or assisting draw up core article/missing article lists? He says he's thinking of North Africa for an inaugural one in October. If interested please sign up in the participants section of the Contest page, thanks.♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:09, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
