[edit]In a recent edit to the page Asia (band), you changed one or more words from one international variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to other English-speaking countries, such as Canada, Australia, or New Zealand, use the appropriate variety of English used there. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, you can ask me on my talk page or you can visit the help desk. Thank you. Anger22 (Talk 2 22) 00:27, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Matthews inc.
[edit]A tag has been placed on Matthews inc. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 22:17, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 13:25, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Merging town and city of Sparta articles
[edit]You requested merging the 2 articles. Do you understand the difference between a town and a city/village? A city/village is incorporated, and a town is not. There are many places in Wisconsin where these different units of government share the same name but are distinct, like Sparta and Sparta. We have discussed it at length at WikiProject Wisconsin, and every time it gets rejected. Here's some discussions: [Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Wisconsin#Proposed_merger_of_articles:Town.26City_of_Madison.26Janesville.]], Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Wisconsin#Sun_Prairie_city_and_town_articles, and Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Wisconsin#Naming_convention_for_unincorporated_communities. There needs to be a separate article because they have different population statistics, land statistics, and often different websites. The city or village article is always the main article. The village article is usually just statistics. Think of the town article as being on the same level as the Town of Sheldon article and the city article on the same level as the Tomah, Wisconsin article. Royalbroil 02:42, 30 January 2009 (UTC)
