You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Indian Maritime University, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. May I know the reason for blocking me from editing? If you think I am sharing about some University in my country that does not mean i tend to promote/advertise about it. Its an information being provided with a neutral and factual point. Well I just joined Wikipedia for the first time. I have appealed against you according to the guidelines. Request reason:

The content I created was intended to provide neutral, factual information about the Indian Maritime University, not to promote or advertise it. If any part of the draft seemed promotional, I am willing to make revisions to align with Wikipedia’s guidelines.

Decline reason:

Clear violation of WP:PROMO. You haven't addressed your violation of WP:COI. And, frankly, you aren't going to be unblocked to write about Indian Maritime University. Yamla (talk) 18:49, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I regret my recent edits to the Indian Maritime University page as they did not meet Wikipedia's guidelines. I intended to update the information, but failed to ensure proper sourcing and neutrality. I now understand the importance of adhering to Wikipedia’s standards for verifiability and balance. I apologize for any issues caused and will work to correct and improve the content in accordance with Wikipedia’s guidelines. I have read all guidelines and will not repeat it again}

Decline reason:

You still don't discuss WP:COI and still don't tell us what you want to write about other than Indian Maritime University, as you won't be unblocked to, in the short term, do that. 331dot (talk) 08:17, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Wikipedia Administrators, I understand the concerns regarding my conflict of interest (COI) as a student at Indian Maritime University (IMU) and am committed to ensuring my contributions are neutral and factual. Beyond the IMU-CET draft, I am keen to contribute to Wikipedia by providing accurate information on various competitive exams in India, such as eligibility criteria and preparation tips. Additionally, I am interested in correcting and updating pages with false or outdated information to improve the accuracy and reliability of Wikipedia’s content. I am dedicated to adhering to Wikipedia’s standards and am open to any guidance you may have. Thank you for considering my appeal. Sincerely,

Wikipedia is not a place for preparation tips – we are an encyclopedia, not a textbook. However our sister website Wikiversity would be happy for preparation tips. With that in mind, would you be willing to update your unblock request? Thanks, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 02:08, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think you may also want to commit to avoid writing about IMU specifically, at least until you have more editing experience. -- asilvering (talk) 21:03, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
