What is a Whitelist?
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help or have additional questions, please replace the code {{help me-helped}} on this page with {{help me}}, or contact the responding user(s) directly on their own user talk page. |
I'm a Wiki dummy. What is a Whitelist on Wikipedia? Why could a domain end on the list? Thanks! Aceshowbiz (talk) 13:46, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- It is a way for an administrator to allow the use, either for one article or for the whole of Wikipedia, of a reference to a site which is on the Wikipedia:Spam blacklist. See MediaWiki talk:Spam-whitelist. JohnCD (talk) 14:05, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
