Notice of discretionary sanctions on caste articles
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in South Asian social groups. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. |

Misuse of 'Clarify' tag
[edit]Hi.. it seems, you have tried to raise your concerns in the article on Saraswat Brahmin, but what you have done is misuse of tags! Such concerns are discussed on the article talk page; also note that Wikipedia articles are not meant to be treated as forums! In order to remove sourced content from the consensus version, you need to initiate discussion and achieve fresh consensus on the article talk page! Also, please read WP:NOTAFORUM. Thanks. Ekdalian (talk) 14:18, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Dear @Ekdalian,
- Getting clarity/Verification for the contents are very important in some cases. The way some section of the article has written is giving some different perspective where the source content is giving completely different context, Please do cooperate. Here no one is planning to remove the existing contents instead justification is expected. Wikipedia policy is clear from it's end regarding usage of tags.
- Regards, Acchuta Sharma (talk) 06:24, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Dear@Ekdalian,
- I have kept the tag edit explanation in the talk page. Expecting your support and patience in this process.

January 2024
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Saraswat Brahmin. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Ekdalian (talk) 08:26, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Dear @Ekdalian,
- Hope my messages are clear from my end. I have written about my edits in the talk page. Requesting not to involve in Edit warring.I have not deleted any contents, adding tags doesn't come under edit warring instead deleting others perspective may be a part of edit warring.Hope you know 3 revert policy it may lead to Blocking so request you to cooperate. Blocked as a sockpuppet
[edit]Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
Committee Info
[edit]Dear @Aoidh, I saw your name in Arbitrary committee name list. I had been wrongly categorized as sock, by seeing the list of names under this sock Joshi Punekar. I don't think this is normal case, So I have sent my unblock request with all the information regarding my account in that mail (Arbitrary committee mail id). So please let me know the further procedure. Regards, Acchuta Sharma (talk) 05:42, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- You should be receiving a response from the Arbitration Committee via email within the next few days. - Aoidh (talk) 16:11, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
