Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Hi Sir, you'd recently reverted my edit, I would like to know your reason to avoid this mistake in my future edits. Abubakrsadik (talk) 18:12, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
My recent revert
[edit]I saw your statement that you had permission from the University to copy some material but we need much more than your comment in an edit summary.
If the University really wants to freely licensed material they can although I don't advise it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Donating_copyrighted_materials S Philbrick(Talk) 14:52, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
Okay, no problem, but what more do you want? can you explain in details. Abubakrsadik (talk) 20:01, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
First, let me introduce myself. I am a long term wikipedean but even longer before that I was Foundation Professor of Chemistry at BUK, so I have some sympathy with your efforts. Wikipedea is all free material, so you can not just copy university documents because the copyright is clearly not free. I would also add that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. The article on BUK is not to promote the university to students, but to give encyclopedic material. Even if the material you have added was acceptable by copyright, it would be considered over-detailed. The best you can do is to make sure that the material is put on the BUK web site and link to that as a reference to a general sentence about admissions. Feel free to reply here as you are now on my watchlist. --Bduke (Discussion) 21:08, 6 March 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Adam A Zango
[edit]Hello Abubakrsadik,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Adam A Zango for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

[edit]Hello Abubakrsadik,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Abdulaziz Al-Horr for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Gombe State University.jpeg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Gombe State University.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 16:32, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
