Speedy deletion of Template:Kerala symbols
A tag has been placed on Template:Kerala symbols requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{tranclusionless}}</noinclude>
).

Image copyright problem with Image:Kris mural7.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Kris mural7.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 09:26, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Emblm_sang1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Emblm_sang1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:58, 15 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 17:58, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

RE: Edits in Kochi article
Please review the edited portion of the article carefully. In the current state, it is clear that the last portion of the Demographics section is more negative than neutral, in which the author(s) discuss mainly negative points, some of which are questionable: the water issue and an overemphasis on pollution and slums.
As a response to your questions,
"Replacing the slum picture with Amritanandamayi picture is obviously a tone up"
I could just as easily say that the usage of the picture of slums was a tone down to begin with. In fact, hundreds of slum dwellers in a city of a population of 600000 is not that large. Take a look at the article on Bombay, a city that contains the largest slums in all of Asia has merely a single line about slums. I find it hard to understand why such an emphasis is put in the article on Kochi, other than to have a negative impact. Additionally I did not remove any of the information on the slums, I merely replaced the caption on the picture since I changed it.
"The slum population details was removed."
No, it was not removed. Read the revision carefully, it still contains all the original statistics.
"Also, the facts regarding the unemployment rate details were removed, and there was an attempt to tone down the matter, by removing the GOK report from K. C. Zachariah and S. Irudaya Rajan, and by citing another local site."
No, these facts were not removed and nor was the report by Zachariah. I did however, cite other additional sites as references.

Image copyright problem with Image:Chitra tirunal22.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Chitra tirunal22.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Replaceable fair use Image:Chitra tirunal22.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Chitra tirunal22.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Fut.Perf. ☼ 21:29, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Viewpath
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Viewpath, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Prithviraj
Hi Rajith,
I tried moving the filmography page before. Even tried convincing other editors in this regard. But they keep bringing back the whole filmography to the main article. So even if I go with your view, others wont. They will undo ur edits and mark it as "Vandalism". Since there is no particular format to be followed regarding filmogrpahy of actors, I thought of going with their view. So do think about this, whether you want to waste anymore time and energy moving the filmography page.

Hi Rajith,
I told you before that they wont let you edit the filmography. I saw your edits on the References. If you could do those reference edits again without touching the filmography it would be helpful. You could edit the filmography as a seperate edit if you still want to do it.

Your edit was very sneaky
I have reverted the edit you made to Kerala because it was not in the best interests of Wikipedia, and the edit summary you gave was unethical in my opinion. You summarised, "rvt. to remove the ext commercial link", but you did not revert or remove anything. You added information, restoring a slogan previously removed from the infobox. The slogan is used by the tourism department, not officially by the state, so should not be in the state's infobox. Kaiwhakahaere (talk) 20:56, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Madhavan Nair (ISRO chairman), Lt. Gen Satish Nambiar (UN under secretary), Vijay Nambiar( Foreig secretay GOI) and atleast One living woman like Parvathy Omanakkuttan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.92.244.218 (talk) 06:34, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
This is a bit weird. I haven't edited any article as such. Maybe someone has been using my free wireless router. Recently I have inserted my comments in discussion part of a graphic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.186.12.217 (talk) 15:32, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi
The reference that Kochi has faced economic stagnation is false and unsupportedby any evidence. Economic stagnation is a clearly defined term in terms of GDP growth data. Data only shows the economic growth of Kochi through out 1990s resulting in higher commercial tax collection from here.
Further I have given clear data about the claim that more than 50% of tax collection of the state of Kerala is from Kochi. Including the tax remitted by Refinery and oil marketing companies, this comes to about 75% of the tax revenue of the state of Kerala.
These are highlights of the economy of Kochi and is well placed in the wiki pages.

Re:Your comments
This sentence is not suited to be in the lead section, as it is not an officially declared status.
Reference to commercial hub is well suited to be in lead section as wiki pages are expected to give information.
For example Mumbai is not "officially" the financial hub of India but it is described so in the lead section of Mumbai wiki page. Same is true for Kochi.
the commercial tax generated in here - This is for the UA of Kochi, and should be entered in the Economy of Kochi or here Kochi metropolitan area.
By this viewpoint of yours, FACT, CIAL, Refinery, Infopark or almost anything you take all falls outside the ambit of this wiki page as everything falls only in Kochi UA or even outside in sorrounding areas. Further, it is clear that Kochi is the point of discussion not administrative areas like corporation or Greater Cochin - so naturally tax contribution to state is an important information that should not be omitted.
I do not know why you object to stating commonly known mundane facts. I hope you have nothing against keeping Kochi and Kerala pages up to date.

Kochi pages
Sure, we can reach a consensus. Since we agree on two things (1)that reference to "stagnation" is inappropriate without citation and (2) tax data is correct, let the present page be the default.
You disagree on whether tax data is relevant in Kochi economy page. We can discuss this. But please see economy page in the Mumbai main article - do you think tax data there is irrelevant and/or glorifying ? I have mentioned only one line in Kochi economy page about tax income. As such it may be insufficient, but can at no cost be removed.
But if need, I hope, we can sort out this by discussion.

Desist from inserting false information on Kochi pages
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to [[:Kochi, India]]. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Your reference to economic stagnation in Kochi, India page appears to be a deliberate attempt to deface the page. You were repeatedly warned against inserting FALSE information on Kochi, India page. I will have no choice but to take this to the wiki administrator.(Prathambhu (talk) 12:48, 3 March 2009 (UTC))
Vandalism Warning
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to [[:Kochi, India]], you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. I am sorry that you do not intend to go by the rules.(Prathambhu (talk) 16:29, 3 March 2009 (UTC))
