Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Aankitmishra, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Perennial Math, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Cahk (talk) 07:21, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Perennial Math, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but in this edit you removed a speedy deletion tag from Perennial Math, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. David.moreno72 08:32, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Perennial Math. Please make your case on the page's talk page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. David.moreno72 08:52, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Ankit mishra 2.jpg

I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the company, press releases, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company claims or interviewing its management. Your references were only to your own website, obviously not independent
  • it's all about what the organisation sells, little about the company itself, not even the city and country its headquarters are in. To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of participants, the number of your employees, or your turnover or profits. There is absolutely nothing factual about the company in your text
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: her vision is to built more talent in student for math Olympiad and help them in achieving appreciation in mathematics
  • Not a reason for deletion, but just one external link to your main website please

Make sure you don't copy text even from your own website. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Create as a draft initially, if you wish to continue as Draft:Perennial Math

Jimfbleak (talk) 13:10, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jimfbleak This really made me understood my mistake that I did while producing that page. Surely will take time and analysis on all facts that you have mentioned and them will create entire unique content with 0% promotion. Your explanation really helps me in understanding how unique and different it is to on Wikipedia and surely will make a note of all points for future.

Once all data is collected, will produce all new page for Perennial_Math

Thanks :-) Aankitmishra (talk) 13:20, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Jimfbleak Hope you're doing great!!

I have added content for Draft:Perennial Math, I request you to please overview it and see if this content is illegible as per terms.

Please let me know for any further amendments.

Thanks!! (Aankitmishra (talk) 12:45, 9 September 2016 (UTC))[reply]

I've made a couple of minor edits and indicated where you have made a claim that needs either an independent third party source or removing. It's OK, but could probably do with a couple more refs to show why the tournament is notable (coverage in major newspapers etc?) She is clearly notable, but the article is a bit thin on sourcing Jimfbleak (talk) 06:48, 10 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Jimfbleak Thanks for quick review and feedback. Will find some ref. that will make this article look more notable.

After this do I need to perform any other activity to make Perennial Math live?

Thanks(Aankitmishra (talk) 10:03, 10 September 2016 (UTC))[reply]

Jimfbleak Hope you're doing great!

Please have a look at the Draft:Perennial Math all changes are made as per your suggestion, can you please tell what next shall I do to make this Live.

Thanks Aankitmishra (talk) 06:05, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is still a lot of text that is unsourced. Rather than moving directly to article space, I suggest that you nominate it for review at Articles for Creation. To do so, add the code {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft Jimfbleak (talk) 14:50, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Promotion COI policies

[edit]

Please see the Wikipedia rules on conflict of interest at WP:COI and promotional posting at WP:PROMO. I see on LinkedIn you work for Eazystock, so ideally you should not be posting about the company at all but assuming an article was created which met the Wikipedia general notability guidelines complete with good sourcing & you wanted to contribute you'd still be required to declare a COI issue on the Talk page. JamesG5 (talk) 09:05, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(talk) Yes, you are right I work for the company and as you mentioned will look for all good source around to justify our work! Also it will be great if you can give me some ref. in terms of "COI issue on the Talk page" should this on the Eazystock page or how? Thanks for all your guidance

@Aankitmishra: Hi, as I noted above ideally you should not be creating pages for businesses you work for, especially as an SEO specialist. That will inevitably come across as promotional work. Having said that, I searched for the company and found almost no coverage for it. A Wikipedia page must have independent 3rd part sources to validate information, and to show that the page meets the Wikipedia general notability guidelines. Simply existing doesn't merit a page. As far as disclosing your conflict of interest, that must be done on the Talk page of the page you're editing. Check out this link WP:COI for guidelines & explanations. Also, when you're replying to someone (as you did above) you should start your comment with a ":" symbol to indent it (each reply means you add one more for a further indent, so if you were replying here you'd use "::" for a double indent) and at the end of your message place for tildes ~~~~ to create a signature. JamesG5 (talk) 15:43, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

JamesG5:: Thanks for guiding me and now I understood what part I should focus on, which will help the brand to gain visibility and branding! I agree to all your points as they direct to promotion, because of my association with the organization which volatile policies and I respect that, now when you have guided me will target the milestone that will help. Hope this time I did it correctly as you recommended, Thanks again Aankitmishra (talk) 15:59, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Thanks for uploading File:EazyStock Logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed.
