Replaceable fair use File:SIDEK HASSAN KSN.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:SIDEK HASSAN KSN.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 17:11, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Sukarti Wakiman, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Public Service (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Locking Wiki Article/Kris Herzog

[edit]

I've already had a few issues with vandalism on the page I recently created Kris Herzog [1] . And I was wondering how I could go about getting it locked down by an admin. Cheers, --Aad351 (talk) 21:58, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think you have to clear the vandalism appeared there. Just make some improvements for the article. Then, ask protection from the admin to deny all vandalisms. Regards, Aamuizz (talk) 01:19, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Declining entries

[edit]

Hi, Aamuizz!

Just a quick comment, when you're dealing with entries for articles for creation, it's very helpful if you leave a comment as to why you declined it. I've been in three separate situations talking with new people who don't know why their article was declined (you were the person who declined it), and I don't know either.

If you would like, I can point you to some scripts to automate the process. Otherwise, please use the proper parameters to add comments.

Non-free use of File:Se 02sukarti.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Se 02sukarti.jpg. However, there is a concern that the use of the image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. Details of this problem, and which specific criteria that the image may not meet, can be obtained by going to the image description page. If you feel that this image does meet those criteria, please place a note on the image description or talk page explaining why. Do not remove the {{di-fails NFCC}} tag itself.

An administrator will review this file within a few days, and having considered the opinions placed on the image page, may delete it in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion or remove the tag entirely. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Salleh keruak.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Salleh keruak.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If someone is still alive, then it is still technically possible to take a free photo of them (with some very rare exceptions). Sukarti Wakiman, for instance, is a politician and a public figure. It is entirely possible to take a free photo of him, and therefore the photo you uploaded will be deleted because it belongs to the newspaper company. DS (talk) 17:12, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I see you have recently taken to reviewing submissions at AfC; that's great, we always need help there, but please be more careful with your decline reasons and also accepting articles. Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Luis Fernando Correa Bahamon clearly has enough context. Conversely, Giorgio Cataldi should clearly not have been created, based on a lack of notability. Pol430 talk to me 15:20, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for remind me about this. Let Giorgio Cataldi is being considered for deletion, then I declined the article Luis Fernando Correa Bahamon because of the reference and citation style, not for the lack of context as you'd say that the article has enough context. Better source request for File:Hassan-al-banna.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hassan-al-banna.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Page move problem

[edit]

Hi Aamuizz, please do not move any articles to your userpage. If you want to expand any articles, you should copy the content into your own sandbox and start to working there. Such as what you have done to the Government of Sabah, the article has turned into red links after being deleted by administrators and affecting many pages. However, I have restore this. I hope you understand. Thank you. Molecule Extraction (talk) 09:23, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
