AfD nomination of Ugly Betty (season 3)

[edit]

An editor has nominated Ugly Betty (season 3), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ugly Betty (season 3) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:30, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome work!

[edit]

I just looked through your contribs and you have done some solid edits, I'm really impressed. Keep it up. Nestorius (talk) 03:36, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Opportunity Knocks (TV Series), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Triwbe (talk) 16:27, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Look before you undo an edit

[edit]

Your revert of an edit I made to the One Tree Hill (TV series) article restored vandalism. Yes, I apologize for that edit of mine having removed an edit where you added a link, but you could have simply added it back, instead of an undoing my edit. I noticed your good edit and was going to restore it, but I could not at that moment due to computer problems. Besides, I figured you'd restore it if I did not. I had not entirely accepted that there was a chance you would revert me completely, though it did cross my mind, as some Wikipedia editors are still somewhat unfamiliar with how Wikipedia works.

As for me, when I state "Restore from mess" in an edit summary, that's because I really am restoring from mess. It's just that your edit (which wasn't crap) got caught up in that; again, I apologize for that.

Anyway, I'll see you around

Peace. Flyer22 (talk) 05:01, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Characters of 90210

[edit]

Hi
I restored the redirects at most of the characters of 90210. They were redirected following this discussion for deletion, which found them lacking notability. It is very possible that at some point the characters will gain the coverage needed, but right now they very simply fail the notability guideline.
If you disagree, I suggest you start a discussion at Talk:90210 (TV series).

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Homeland Security USA. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. • Gene93k (talk) 15:52, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The series and episode summaries were apparently copied and pasted from http://www.abcmedianet.com/web/showpage/showpage.aspx?program_id=002670&type=lead and therefore were copyright violations. The infringing text has been removed. Please contribute to Wikipedia in your own words. • Gene93k (talk) 15:52, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to List of programs broadcast by The CW, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Powergate92Talk 21:05, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:ProjectRunwayCanadaSeason1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to List of programs broadcast by The CW. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Powergate92Talk 03:58, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. dissolvetalk 00:59, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Shantz, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shantz (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. TheFreeloader (talk) 04:32, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article The Manhattan Project (Ugly Betty) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Sources are unreliable fan sites, viewership numbers, or TV Guide. No reliable secondary sources found

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
