why did you changed back omg-what-is-this-word "Xamgyi'nyilha"? it doesnt make sence at all, in any language, any transliteration or transcription. And except some wiki articles, this word doesnt exist, because IT'S WRONG. So pardon me, if I want make something better and CORRECT.

UPP resignation

[edit]

Just a heads-up: under South Korean law, a PR member who resigns is replaced by the next candidate on the party's list, so the UPP won't lose any seats until a constituency member resigns. --Tyrannus Mundi (talk) 13:51, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm new to wiki so I'm not sure of some of the reasons behind things...Just wondering why you erased the characters and pinyin for the cities of zhuhai, zhaoqing, yangjiang, zhanjiang, jiangmen and zhongshan...I'm following all of these pages because I used to live in Guangdong and have visited these cities many times so I want to improve on them...I feel it is useful to those who don't speak or read chinese to have the characters and pinyin visible so they can know how to say it, after all this is an encyclopedia. So why did you erase them, is it a wiki trend to do this or your personal preference? I don't want to start an editing disagreement :-) So I'm talking to you first. Thanks for your help.Dounai (talk) 22:26, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, no I am just placing the characters and pinyin into the Template:Infobox Chinese for each article it is still visible on the right side under the the Template:Infobox settlement. Go ahead to place back Simplified Chinese and pinyin if you feel it is necessarily. — ASDFGH =] talk? 23:06, 9 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I must say, I agree with Dounai. The romanisation of Chinese names in English is slightly different from Pinyin, which is the most common form of transliteration. For instance in most English-language material, we say Beijing, without the indications of tone. I think it makes sense to leave the original romanised versions, with the pinyin provided afterwards. Hi there, my name's Peter Coombe and I'm a Wikimedia Community Fellow working on a project to improve Wikipedia's help system. At the moment I'm trying to learn more about how people use and find the current help pages. If you could help by filling out this brief survey about your experiences, I'd be very grateful. List of MPs elected in the Mongolian legislative election, 2012

Mongolian election

[edit]

Do you understand how the Mongolian election system works? First, the article Mongolian legislative election, 2012 says that election system is supposed to elect 48 members from single-member seats and 28 members by proportional representation. Your article shows 26 two-member seats, making 52 members. Who is right? Second, your article says that in Arkhangai constituency (for example), the elected MPs are N Batbayar and B Bolor. But when I look at the Election Commission website, and I go to Arkhangai constituency (http://www.gec.gov.mn/parliamentary_election/20), I see Batbayar at the top of the list of candidates, but there is no candidate called Bolor. Third, the figures as presented don't seem to make any sense. What are the numbers down the left-margin referring to? What are these тойрог (circles)? Why do the total number of votes cast exceed the number of registered voters? Any ideas? Intelligent Mr Toad (talk) 11:02, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This election is a mess I am also a bit confused. Okay, first thing not all constituencies are two seats some are one seat (ie Bulgan, Sükhbaatar, etc) and some are three seats (ie Ulan Bator-Songino Khairkhan and Ulan Bator-Bayanzürkh•Nalaikh) and "тойрог" is just the district/constituency number. I am have trouble accessing Election Commission website so I cannot get anything from it. As far as I know the "48 members from single-member seats" is not entirely true most constituencies are muti-members and they need to reach a 28% threshold to be elected. I don't have the PR list so I can't make any update on it and it is my mistake it is 28 members. — ASDFGH =] talk? 11:39, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. You have clarified the first point: there are 46 MPs elected from a mix of one, two and three-member seats. But I think you are wrong to say that тойрог (circle) is just the constituency number. For the Arkhangai constituency, there are ten of them, and they each seem to have a separate set of voting figures, on top of the constituency figures given at the top of the page. I suppose that doesn't mean much if you can't access the Election Commission website! There is also the mystery of the MPs elected who don't appear to be candidates, and of the election figures that don't add up. I guess I will have to ask further afield. Template:Guangdong

[edit]

I've reverted your edit because Zhongshan's and Dongguan's urban core is comprised of subdistricts (and towns), and this template lists only the county divisions on up. Also, it contains tautologies, such as "Nanqu District", which were agreed to be eradicated on sight at WT:NC-ZH. GotR Talk 18:58, 19 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Line 2, Xi'an Metro, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Line 2, Xi'an Metro. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 08:40, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese names

[edit]

I understand you're very enthusiastic about including the Chinese names of certain people in the infoboxes. However, if their Chinese names are already in the article (listed in the first line of the lead section, or in a small box at the side), then it'll be redundant to include them again in the infobox. Please stop the redundant repetition. 220.255.2.76 (talk) 08:33, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese political position rankings

[edit]

Good work on the Chinese politics articles and updating them accordingly.

A note about "Political position ranking in the PRC" article. Currently, if the funeral of Ding Guangxun is any indication, the ranking system is somewhat skewed given the transition of the party leadership prior to the transition of the state leadership. As of now, the rankings appear to be as follows:

  1. Hu Jintao
  2. Xi Jinping
  3. Jiang Zemin
  4. Wu Bangguo
  5. Wen Jiabao
  6. Jia Qinglin
  7. Li Keqiang
  8. Rest of 18th PSC
