Replaceable fair use File:Dr Rajkumar.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Dr Rajkumar.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —SpacemanSpiff 03:02, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of New India Foundation

Hello APPU,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged New India Foundation for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

A tag has been placed on Chachaji requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — kashmīrī TALK 18:57, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

Your contributions to-date

Hi Appu, I very much appreciate your keen interest in editing Wikipedia, and I'm glad that you have made quite a few valuable contributions. At the same time, however, a large proportion of your edits is problematic and makes other editors waste a lot of time on correcting them. For instance, a significant number of articles you created had to be nominated for deletion, because they did not comply with Wikipedia notability criteria. This is, frankly, a waste of yours and the community's time.

Additionally, the way you used references in your articles is incorrect if not deliberately misleading. For instance, you listed six references[1] in Nehru and Bose, however only two of them had anything to do with the article subject while the rest were there, I think, to make the article appear as sourced (even though it was not).

Wikipedia is not a dictionary; even less a Hindi dictionary.[2]

All in all, I strongly suggest you to pause article creation efforts, review the way you flood Wikipedia with largely unimportant stuff, and devote some of your time to reading the policies. A list of the key ones is in the first message on this page. — kashmīrī TALK 19:36, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

There are other articles that you created on notable / important topics but need higher quality sources, such as democratic backsliding in India which is covered extensively in scholarly sources. (t · c) buidhe 20:10, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
Hi, thank you for taking time in bringing this to my attention. The sources are could be misplaced perhaps for I googled results containing those specific phrases rather than to check their content convincingly. This is a grave mistake as I think of it now. I am to make sure this may not happen again. Appu (talk) 09:31, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
OK, thank you. Just to be clear - ideally, Wikipedia should contain only information found in reliable sources (see the principle of verifiability). All the facts and statements added by editors (except some obvious ones) should be explicitly supported by references. References are not there to replace Google Search for the reader – for this, we use a Further reading section. Best wishes, — kashmīrī TALK 10:11, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
