Speedy deletion nomination of Agim Sulaj
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Agim Sulaj requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. freshacconci talktalk 13:26, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- I see that another user has re-created the Agim Sulaj with references: I suggest you add to this version anything you want from User talk:ALAKTORN/Agim Sulaj, and when you have done with that, tag it {{db-u1}} for deletion. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 16:08, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
List of sumo record holders
[edit]I just had to go through and undo all your ″corrections″ to the rikishi′s total career bouts tallies. As the article makes clear, losses by default are excluded – a match in which the wrestler is not even in the stadium does not count as a bout! The totals at Sumo Reference, listed as a source at the bottom of the article, match up with this system. Please read carefully before making alterations in future.--Pawnkingthree (talk) 00:55, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
- That doesn′t appear to be what you did. Take at look at Kaio′s stats at Sumo Reference. If you simply add 1047 wins to 700 losses, you get 1747, which you added to the article. But if you subtract the 16 occasions in which Kaio pulled out of a tournament (known as a fusen) then you get the figure 1731, which is what was originally in the article (and is the figure Sumo Reference uses). Hope that′s clear. Regards, --Pawnkingthree (talk) 11:39, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
- The difference between winning and losing by default is that to win, a wrestler has to actually be there – if he doesn′t climb up on the dohyo and get acknowledged by the referee, he isn′t credited with the win. I think that′s why a default win gets counted in the totals and a default loss doesn′t. I agree with you that it′s not really a bout, but we have to go with the sources. --Pawnkingthree (talk) 00:27, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
Baruto
[edit]We usually wait to the end of a basho to count a wrestler as kyujo, as in some cases they do come back in the middle of the tournament. However, in most cases they don't so I guess we can leave your change unless he comes back. Thanks for the other updates. FourTildes (talk) 09:12, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
shohozan kinboshi
[edit]thanks for the kinboshi update. I updated his entry into the kinboshi list, but forgot his actual page. FourTildes (talk) 13:30, 16 September 2013 (UTC)
rikishi article updates
[edit]Hey, just in case you didn't see my message elsewhere: When you add any new information to a wrestler's article could you also add an update date (month and date) to the infobox. This will help us keep better track of which rikishi articles haven't seen much attention in a while. Just using it for the infobox is not nearly as useful because for many bread and butter rikishi their tables change very rarely even as their bios etc. slowly get information added. FourTildes (talk) 22:37, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
As I look back, I see you updated the date for Takekaze, so this was a pointless message. :) Anyway, thanks. FourTildes (talk) 22:39, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your updates to the kinboshi list. Please keep checking and adding here and there, it is appreciated. I first cobbled that "active" kinboshi list together. It seeemed like a very low maintenance task until Harumafuji started giving them away like party favors. :o ~ ~ ~ ~ (talk) 20:40, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
