Whitman/McCoy controversy

[edit]

If you recall, Wales did away with the McCoy article awhile back. He did it at the request of a family member. To expand McCoy's role will only re-open old debates. Please re-consider this and act accordingly. Thanks! 98.94.163.97 (talk) 00:24, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at my comments, I haven't and don't intend to expand McCoy's role. I don't plan on being very active in the discussion at all. Attempts to be useful in the past have been unfruitful and frustrating. --John (User:Jwy/talk) 00:53, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Charles Whitman, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Gavia immer (talk) 07:35, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.
