Request reason:
The power went out for 40mins today. During, I used mobile data, since I get large amounts. For reasons not at all clear to me (because I have never edited from my phone; the idea fills me with dread) my phone is blocked? At any rate, with the power restored the block now seems to also be affecting my normal wifi. I'm guessing you put a cookie on my laptop? Before the Internet reset I was editing as [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/92.24.246.11
Decline reason:
Yes; you need to wait a full 24 hours in such cases, for the block to automatically clear. Yamla (talk) 18:32, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

I'm not sure why you've said (via edit summary) that I'm not blocked. I can confirm I most certainly am.

This IP address is not blocked. You are, but not the IP address. Sorry for being unclear there. --Yamla (talk) 18:39, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Request reason:
I don't understand why you won't unblock me. I have never, ever edited from the device the block came from so I can't understand why my unblock requests are being declined. What do I need to do to appeal?
Decline reason:
We do not see a block in place. Please copy and past the exact block message you are getting into your unblock request. HighInBC Need help? Just ask. 21:50, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

Here is the full message:
You are currently unable to edit Wikipedia due to a block affecting this IP address. This does not affect your ability to read Wikipedia pages.
Most people who see this message have done nothing wrong. Some kinds of blocks restrict editing from specific service providers or telecom companies in response to recent abuse or vandalism, and affect other users who are unrelated to that abuse. See below if you do not believe you have done anything wrong. Editing from 82.132.192.0/18 has been blocked (disabled) by AmandaNP for the following reason(s):
Editing from this range has been disabled (blocked) by an administrator in response to abuse.
Editing by unregistered users from this IP address range has been blocked. In rare cases, usually in response to serious abuse, logged-in editing may also be blocked. An IP address range may in some cases be used by many people; if you believe that you are not the person this block is intended for, please follow the instructions below:
If you have an account: Please log in to edit. If you still cannot edit, place {{unblock}} on your talk page and make reference to this message. You may wish to ping the blocking administrator or email them via the "email this user" function.
If you do not have an account: Registered users are still able to edit. If you cannot create an account from this or another network, you may request that volunteers create your username for you. Please follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Request an account to request an account under your preferred username. It may take some time to process your request.
(modified because there are good users in the range who may need to edit their talk page) This block has been set to expire: 12:07, 26 July 2021.
Even when blocked, you will usually still be able to edit your user talk page and email other editors and administrators.
For information on how to proceed, first see the FAQ for blocked users and the guideline on block appeals. The guide to appealing blocks may also be helpful.

This IP (92.24.242.202) is not blocked. You were probably connected to the other range in the last 24 hours, and need to wait for that to reset. If you're using a VPN, turn it off. – bradv🍁 23:22, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

You may notice the IP in your above message is different than this one. You need to, if using a VPN, turn it off, clear your browser's cache, and wait 24 hours to edit. There is nothing else we can suggest to you. There is no block on this IP address to remove. 331dot (talk) 22:29, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
