[edit]Hello, I'm JeffSpaceman. I noticed that you recently removed content from Colin Lamont without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. [edit]Hi JeffSpaceman if you could leave things alone until I get this sorted it would be helpful. Someone has apparently vandalized the page which was two pages (see History) so that when you search up Scottie McClue you get Colin Lamont it would appear they have merged the two without thought or permission. I'm trying to get them fixed so that when you put in Scottie McClue to a search you get Scottie McClue otherwise it makes a mockery of Wiki if you can help that would be great but keeping reverting when I'm working or doing all the 'final warning' stuff isn't really helping at the moment thank you. However do let me know if you can sort it as your editing skills appear better than mine and we'll work together it just needs thje header changed to Scottie McClue.
- So long as you keep changing things without proving things are incorrect, we will keep reverting your unsourced claims. As the Lamont page has had Scottie McClue as his radio persona since this page was created 13+ years ago, I doubt your claims. Please stop vandalizing the page. IF however you can find clear evidence from reputable sources that the two are not the same person, then this can be reevaluated. Zinnober9 (talk) 23:09, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- You appear to be missing the point completely. There were two pages covering each character until someone vandalized them and tried to merge them. If you search Scottie McClue you get a page called Colin Lamont one is a major media figure the other is an academic this causes confusion and compromises wikipedia. Please try to help solve this rather than compound it.
- This is well covered in the 2017 merge proposal on the Colin Lamont talk page. Please read it in full if you have not already as it covers all that you are claiming. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Colin_Lamont#2017_merge_proposal Zinnober9 (talk) 01:00, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
