[edit]Hello, I'm 199.208.172.35. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Horemheb, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I'm sorry to have to revert your first edit, especially since it was sourced, but it was not *reliably* sourced by our standards - forum posts are almost never usable. Please continue to ask questions at the Teahouse; there's a lot to get up to speed on around here, I know, but you'll get the hang of it. 199.208.172.35 (talk) 20:49, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- Oh, right, I'm sorry. I know sources are needed so I just posted one I found. I have the guy's name as Harmheb in my own records but don't know where I found that. Probably in some old book. I'll see if I can find a better source. Thanks very much. 79.73.27.91 (talk) 20:57, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- Old books can be excellent sources (though not always, depends on where and how you use them). If you're not sure, try asking on the talk page (Talk:Horemheb); a relatively high-profile article like Horemheb's probably has some experienced editors lurking about it. Good luck - hope you stick around! 199.208.172.35 (talk) 21:05, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- I'll try the talk page as you suggest. Google isn't really helping. Brief mentions only and some of the sites don't look too good. Thanks again for your help. 79.73.27.91 (talk) 21:08, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
