[edit]Hello, I'm ZLEA. An edit that you recently made to Coins of the United States dollar seemed to be a test and has been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! ZLEA T\C 23:03, 29 December 2022 (UTC)
ZLEA: It was not a test. Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lead_section#Avoid_these_other_common_mistakes.
- Next time, please remove the boldface text or add the link somewhere else in the lead. The link was there for a reason. - ZLEA T\C 02:19, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- Disagreed.
- The boldface text is there for a reason - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lead_section#First_sentence.
- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Lead_section#cite_note-17:
- Many, but not all, articles repeat the article title in bold face in the first line of the article. Linking the article to itself produces boldface text; this practice is discouraged as page moves will result in a useless circular link through a redirect. Linking part of the bolded text is also discouraged because it changes the visual effect of bolding; some readers will miss the visual cue which is the purpose of using bold face in the first place. 73.246.14.220 (talk) 04:38, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Mitski—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 04:33, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
Response:
Materialscientist: Mitski's legal and birth name is Mitsuki Francis Laycock. The article even mentions the birth name (with a reference citation), and my edit note included a URL to an external article.
https://younghollywood.com/scene/artist-to-watch-mitski.html https://gbsindependent.org/9569/the-scoop/the-return-of-mitski-miyawaki/ https://www.thethings.com/mitski-why-lives-outside-public-eye/#she-knows-her-boundaries
The birth name in the infobox is incorrect, and will be corrected. Miyawaki is Mitski's mother's last name, and is not her birth name.
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Mitski. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Mako001 (C) (T) 🇺🇦 05:20, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
See my response above. I added a reference citation to the change. From a cited article: "Born Mitsuki Laycock". This means the birthname is "Mitsuki Laycock". 73.246.14.220 (talk) 02:35, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- Also, the lead sentence and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitski#Early_life mentions the birthname, Mitsuki Laycock. 73.246.14.220 (talk) 02:39, 16 February 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Iris Martinez, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 10:13, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
