Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Solar chemical. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write practically anything you want. Metiscus (talk) 20:04, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Daylighting has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 72.87.117.10, has made unconstructive edits to Turkey, which have been reverted. If you did this, in the future please try to contribute in a more constructive manner. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. If you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors.

You don't have to log in to read or edit pages on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free, requires no personal information, and has many benefits. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Redtmr, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Timothy Robinson12345 (talk) 13:30, 13 October 2016 (UTC) [reply]

A sock puppet is someone who uses multiple accounts to contribute in a disruptive way, mainly to make it appear like there are many different people contributing. It's also a term used for users who have been banned, then created new accounts to circumvent that block. Please read the notice carefully, and follow the links in it to make yourself familiar with the allegations, and defend against the claims if you wish. —Hexafluoride Ping me if you need help, or post on my talk 21:53, 14 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think I was unfairly blocked I was warned one time. 72.87.117.10 (talk) 17:05, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

A history of vandalism going back six years. Many, many warnings. And you've provided absolutely no reason to believe the vandalism will permanently stop. The block is appropriate. Yamla (talk) 17:10, 8 December 2016

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I have learned my lesson im very sorry 72.87.117.10 (talk) 14:36, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

That's not quite enough to warrant an unblock. As stated earlier, there's a history of vandalism going back at least six years. Yes you're sorry, but that's not enough. If you do want to contribute productively, wait for a few months, come back, explain what you'd like to work on and maybe this will be reconsidered. As for now, this is declined RickinBaltimore (talk) 14:41, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
