[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Selous Scouts. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. AcebulfALT (talk) 00:33, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Hi there, just saw your message. The message you left on the article was a constructive one, but since there are many encyclopedia editors, all with different opinions, we have to separate the main article from the comments on the page. This is why we have the talk page, where that message would be welcome. More specifically, a link to the source you referred to, as well as a quick description of the changes you propose making would be great to generate a discussion regarding the subject. The link to the talk page is here: Talk:Selous Scouts. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me at my talk page again. Acebulf (talk) 21:56, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
