You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but you may want to consider creating an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (70.50.151.11) is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on this page. Again, welcome! pb30 (talk) 01:20, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

LukeSurl t c 12:59, 18 February 2014 (UTC)Just letting you know i reverted your tagging of this article as unreferenced. As an article that is nothing but a list of links to other articles it doesn't really need references, and in fact they were deliberately removed when it was converted into a list. Filtered
[edit]I've posted this in the false pos reports: "It seems to be your use of the word A****T which seems to trigger a spam filter. Try again, but get round the use of that word somehow." I don't usually go in there, but I was investigating something else and just checked yours. Some words trigger filters, and that one might be one. Peridon (talk) 15:18, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- After a few more hits, I think it's filtering on non-Latin-letter headers, which doesn't make sense. I leave the same sort of comment underneath Latin-lettered headers, and it doesn't trigger. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 23:42, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Binksternet (talk) 06:01, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
- Exactly what's wrong with this edit [1] ? The Squirrel's Nest clearly redirects to Johnny Carson, just as clearly drey is the article on squirrels' nests. And why is this deserving of a level-2 warning? -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 06:16, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
- The edit has been reinstated at Johnny Carson per [2] by another user; and I still have no idea why you've given me a warning for a perfectly valid edit, and why you started giving me warnings starting at level-2. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 15:57, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

[edit]The Invisible Barnstar | ||
On Wikipedia, it is customary for editors to show appreciation for hard work by giving another user a barnstar. This barnstar, The Invisible Barnstar, is awarded to users who make significant and helpful contributions to the project, but have kept to the background without seeking recognition or reward for their work. Many active editors on Wikipedia create accounts (and I do urge you to create one, for it helps you integrate yourself better with the Wikipedia community; see here for more reasons on why you should create an account); however, you have remained in the background, as an anonymous user. I would like to emphatically thank you for all of your thankless contributions to Wikipedia. Most IP addresses are dynamic, meaning they change from time to time, so every time it does, your contributions will be left unattributed (another reason to create an account). I do hope to see you around sometime as a username I can warmly recognize. Happy editing! Ciao, Mz7 (talk) 00:20, 19 March 2014 (UTC) |
- Thanks, and yes, my IP is dynamic -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 04:47, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
Recent edit to Hot Springs
[edit]see WP:MOSDAB - keep title visible (e.g. no piping) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Widefox (talk • contribs) 09:11, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Would you agree that that should appear at the top of the list? -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 09:17, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, I would say no. Readers looking for "hot spring" and "hot springs" will have already been there. As all the items are "Hot Springs" either the reader got here by entering the capital or via the lowercase (primary topic). Either way no. If we keep this to proper nouns then currently this is useful. If we mix the upper and lowercase (which MOSDAB tells us) then the obvious thing to do is move the dab so it has a primary topic. Just don't think that's as useful. Talk like this should go on its talk page, as others will have opinions. Widefox; talk 02:18, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
If there are two subjects that should / could be accessed from one search such as "Airphone", make it a wp:disambiguation page. I have done this with Airphone. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 10:23, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- I left a hatnote at the other page. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 10:27, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- See WP:TWODABS. Airphone / Airfone looks like a primary topic with a commercial (miss spelling) subtopic to me, no dab needed. The primary is lacking a mention, so it is a mess though. Widefox; talk 10:54, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your edit to a disambiguation page. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:
- Be familiar with the guidelines and style
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
- Only add a "red link" if used in an article, and include the "blue link" to that article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references
All these dabs need some fixing, please can you have a look at WP:MOSDAB, in particular the primary topic formatting. Regards and keep up the good work Widefox; talk 01:00, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
