- At the very top of this page you will see some blue links, including one which says "Create account". Click on that link, and it will take you to a form to create an account. There will be a box to type in a username you would like to use, two boxes to type in a password for your account, and a "CAPTCHA" for you to do to prove that you are not a bot automatically creating spam accounts. There is also the option of providing an email address if you would like to. If you do give an email address, it will not be publicly visible, but it will make it possible for you to send Wikipedia emails to other editors, and them to send emails to you.
