Flag of the Mughal Empire
[edit]As hs been discussed at Flag o the Mughal Empire talkpage the various images available on wikipedia commons marked as "flags of the Mughal empire" are all fictional flags that are regarded as WP:OR on wikipedia and cannot be used in article-space. So can you please undo your recent edits in which you added File:Alam of the Mughal Empire.svg to several wikipedia rticles, or discuss the issue at the above-mentioned talk page? Thanks. - Adding historical depictions as you did to the Flag of the Mughal Empire is useful (within limits of course). Two tips:
- Make sure the caption avoids any WP:OR and try to stick as close to the information in the original caption as possible (by original I mean not wikimedia commons, but the museum/university site where the images were typically taken from)
- Include the approximate period of the depiction, since it is useful to know if was contemporary to the Mughals or significantly later.
- Let me know if you have any questions, or raise them on the article talk page. Abecedare (talk) 02:47, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
- List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
