Welcome to Wikipedia!
I'm Sm8900, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge. Although you're free to perform most tasks on Wikipedia without registering, it's highly recommended you create an account as there are many added benefits. It's private and secure and it's also free, simple, and quick to do.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. If you register an account, you can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you could put a link to it on your user page.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your IP address linked to your contributions page (however, if you create an account, your IP address will be hidden and you will be able to build a custom signature that can link to your own user page), a link to this IP's talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
[edit]Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Turkish Airlines, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Islamic neo-traditionalism, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Hello, I'm Aaron Liu. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Artemis 3, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Aaron Liu (talk) 12:36, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
[edit]Hello, I'm ButterCashier. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Charlie Hebdo seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ButterCashier (talk) 07:44, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
Unsourced material
[edit]Hey there, IP editor. I undid your edit at Charlie Hebdo because I believe it to be unconstructive. Adding unsourced material to an article with a {{Citation needed}} tag doesn't make it any more likely to stick in the article. Per WP:BURDEN: The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material
. Wikipedia is not a place for original research, and any unverified material may be removed. In any case, the material you added also seems completely irrelevant to the article, as Charlie Hebdo has nothing to do with early 20th century Turkish history. Please refrain from making edits like this in the future. ArcticSeeress (talk) 10:10, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
[edit]Hello, I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. -Fnlayson (talk) 14:48, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
