[edit]Hi, Sorry I took so long getting back to you, but I'd be excited to work on a project with you about Percy Jackson. I know a lot on the series and I'd love to help out! ~Mfflack Mfflack (talk) 23:06, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Percy Jackson Task Force1
[edit]Hi 2ReinreB2, I'd be delighted to join the Percy Jackson Task Force! I love the books and I would love to contribute to the Task Force! Zussman1 (talk) 15:10, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- Fantastic! I see you've already put your name under the "active" list and started helping out with articles, especially Camp Half-Blood Chronicles, which really needed your help. I'd like to extend my personal thanks, and welcome once again! 2ReinreB2 (talk) 00:37, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
Percy Jackson Task Force2
[edit]Hi 2ReinreB2, I'd be willing to stay on the task force. I will try to contribute as much as possible, as time allows (due to school). Thanks! - Benjamin112 (talk)
- Great! I noticed you've put our userbox on your userpage (bacause it adds you to Category:Percy Jackson task force participants). Just as a reminder: adding {{Wikipedia:PJTF/Update}} to your page will allow you to keep up with our news. Also, please check out:
- our to-do list to see if there's anything you'd like to help with;
- our members list to see if there's anyone you can help rejoin the project;
- and our talk page to let us know of any big ideas you've got, to support other members, and to vote on changes to the scope/member requirements. (For example, there has been a motion to make this project the "Rick Riordan Task-force".)
- Lastly, you are our one and only returning member -- which also makes you our oldest supporter thus far! Thanks for coming back. 2ReinreB2 (talk) 04:01, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
Percy Jackson Task Force3
[edit]Hi 2ReinreB2, Sorry I wasnt able to reply soon enough as the message you left me was at least a month old. I usually check Wikipedia once in a while due to the fact that there isn't much to change at the moment. I would we delighted to join the Percy Jackson Task Force. I will try to after joining the Task Force do more to benefit readers in a way that allows them to get a better sense of the books and its characters. (And once again sorry I was so late to reply) Yaohuijiang (talk) 3:35, 9 November 2015 (EST)
- Oh, no problem, no problem at all! I'm just happy to "meet" a new member. When you're ready to join, here's the whole laundry list of things you can do:
- List yourself on our members page (as I'm typing this, I'm seeing your name appear, so check that right off...)
- Optional Use {{Wikipedia:PJTF/Update}} and/or {{Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Outreach/User Percy Jackson task force}} to participate more actively in the project.
- Check out the talk page and Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Percy Jackson Task Force#To do to see where you can help. On the talk page, please feel free to voice your opinions in any matter currently being discussed.
- Get in contact with me or other WP:PJTF (or WP:NV, our parent) editors if you have any questions! If you come across a particular set of issues you'd like to devote yourself to, let us all know and then feel free to get right on it. (Ex: If you want to be our Magnus Chase expert, or Project Page Manager, or reference-checker extraordinaire, etc... Let other editors know and they will gladly inform you of anything helpful already in progress.
- Ok, so the laundry list was shorter than I thought. Welcome to the project, though! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 23:40, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
- Alright, I think "Magnus Chase" expert would do, I already added more information on the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. And I am loving the new Series, so all I need to do is also inform other Editors on it? Yaohuijiang (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 20:20, 10 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Yaohuijiang-- Yes, though it's not a formal requirement. It's just so they'll know who to ask questions to, and let you know about any drafts or such they've got in progress. --2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:22, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Hello. Thanks for correcting my edit on List of characters in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and the Heroes of Olympus series. I didn't know that. I just wanted to inform you that I've only read the books in the Heros of Olympus series and not the first series. Just to let you know. Spike789 Talk 01:57, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Spike789 -- That's not a problem at all! I appreciate your gumption, and I can't believe that fact (about the fear of spiders) wasn't mentioned elsewhere. As a more specific reply to your post: there is no requirement, formal or informal, for the knowledge you need in order to help out either on Wikipedia or on WP:PJTF. Happy editing! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:02, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
Hey!
[edit]Hi! I'm here to talk about a new userbox that I created for our task force, as we have changed our name to the Rick Riordan Task force. The you can use the userbox by coping this link-
{{Wikipedia:Wikiproject Novels/Outreach/User Rick Riordan Task Force}}
Should I add it to the templates section of our home page? Thanks. :) Pancakes Are Life! — A.K.A known as The Pancake of Heaven! • contribs 13:19, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

Percy Jackson Task Force4
[edit]Thanks for your message!
I haven't logged onto WP in a while even though I use it so often! Sorry for this horribly late reply- I completely support your idea of changing the PJ task force to include all of Riordan's works. I'd love to get some more info on that since it has been 4 months since your message.
Please either reply here with a talkback or on my talk page under your previous message. Thank you!

Userbox?
[edit]Hi. I've noticed that you've made a mention that we still can use our old userbox. However, I've noticed that if you click on either of them they both direct to Wikipedia:Wikiproject Novels/Outreach/User Rick Riordan Task Force. I've reverted your edit for now and I'm currently trying to find the old userbox. Please put the {{talkback}} template on my talk page. Rick Riordan Task Force1
[edit]Hello! I appreciate your recent activity reviving the Rick Riordan/Percy Jackson task force. I've updated my status in the members section, but wanted to reach out to you personally as well. I'm quite busy IRL right now, so I'm not actively editing, but I'm still keeping up with Riordan's writing and may return to editing in the future. If at any point you're running a major editing campaign (getting a specific article to GA or FA, editing over 24-48 hour period, etc.), feel free to reach out to me. I'm most accessible via the email linked to my account. PrincessofLlyr royal court 15:34, 16 December 2015 (UTC)
- @PrincessofLlyr -- Thanks very much for your reply! I will keep in mind your offer of fast-pace editing help, as a I know a few other editors have expressed similar interests. Once again, thank you for everything you've done for WP:RRTF, and happy editing! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 22:21, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
The Sword of Summer
[edit]Hi 2RienreB2, I've been busy recently, but today I had some time and noticed that you had written the whole plot section of The Sword of Summer! I really appreciate you doing this and everything else you've done for the Rick Riordan Task Force. I think after going over it a few more times, we can finally submit it for review and get it published in the namespace. Once again, thank you so much for doing this! Zussman1 (talk) 02:03, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Zussman1 -- No problem; I'm glad to help, and I appreciate everything you've done for the draft too! I've been working on pages about The Underland Chronicles, and one of the worst parts has been finding the time to sit down with the books and paraphrase the plots. It's like writing book reports all over again 8(. Have fun cutting the summary down to size, though; that's not fun either. ; ). -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 04:38, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
- I'm looking forward to it :) Zussman1 (talk) 06:19, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
Rick Riordan Task Force2
[edit]2ReinreB2, I'd be delighted to join the Rick Riordan Task Force! Although I'm kind of wondering, why did you invite me? -SP — Preceding unsigned comment added by SirePyro (talk • contribs) 20:41, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
- @SirePyro -- I invited you because your edits to pages relating to Percy Jackson & the Olympians seemed to indicate a knowledge of the series, and RRTF could always use more knowledgeable contributors. Part of the task force's job is to encourage editors to collaborate on Riordan-related pages in a structured way, so everyone can collaboratively make sure the pages are standardized and conform to Wikipedia's policies. We love it when people contribute, but seeing editors contribute together just plain sends us to our respective happy places. :) -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:38, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- @2ReinreB2 -- OK, thanks. Just curious. Thanks! -SP — Preceding unsigned comment added by SirePyro (talk • contribs) 03:35, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- @SirePyro -- If you're really interested in joining up, head on over to the RRTF members page and list your name! Feel free to explore our pages, regardless. Highlights include: the to-do list, general forums (talk page), and our "Outreach" page.
- On a side note: If you type
~~~~
(four tildes) after the end of a talk page post, it'll sign your name and the time of your post. You can also go to your preferences page to customize the signature that'll appear. That way you won't have that "unsigned comment" notice after every post you make. - Thanks once again for your interest, and happy editing! Always open to questions, 2ReinreB2 (talk) 04:31, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
Carter Kane-related
[edit]I just got your message. We need an articles for deletion page if we are to discuss the fate of the Carter Kane page. Just letting you know that? --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:47, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Rtkat3 -- Yes, we will if anyone thinks it's worth protesting. The discussion on our talk page is to see if anyone cares. If they do, then we ought to start an AFD discussion page. Otherwise, RRTF will just let this pass. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 15:51, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
We were able to add a few more active members to the Rick Riordan Task Force. I was thinking of creating a welcome template for new WP:RRTF users, mind if you help me? Thanks. :) →The Pancake of Heaven! (T • C • E) 14:23, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
List of characters in mythology novels by Rick Riordan
[edit]I just took a look at List of characters in mythology novels by Rick Riordan's history and I found a lot of fan-facts that are not suitable for Wikipedia. I also noticed that they are all IP users. Do you think we should request a semi-protection on the article? The edits keep repeating and this may lead to either a WP:WAR or they may start to vandalize the page. Thank you. →The Pancake of Heaven! (T • C • E) 02:37, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
- @The Pancake of Heaven! -- I don't think requesting protection would do any harm. I'm not sure it's really necessary though; most fandalism is caught pretty quickly on the page, and I think an edit war is highly unlikely. Actually, I currently have all the pages under RRTF's scope on my personal watchlist, and from what I've seen List of characters in mythology novels by Rick Riordan undergoes a fairly typical amount of nonconstructive IP editing. But again, semi-protecting the page probably wouldn't hurt, since it has been so thoroughly copyedited (IP's are not going to catch/fix spelling errors).
- On an unrelated note, thanks for the edits you just made to the project page. Really like your enthusiasm! Happy editing, 2ReinreB2 (talk) 21:10, 28 May 2016 (UTC)
Hey!
[edit]Thanks for the invite! I will join the Rick Riordan book series-es page editing! Please check out the proposition I have placed to rename the X-Men (film series) page to something along the lines of "X-Men (franchise)" or "X-Men (film universe)". The series must now include the upcoming TV series as Bryan Singer recently confirmed that they will be set in the same universe (following a similar pattern to the Marvel Cinematic Universe), and needs to be listed as such. Any of your input on the talk-page would be greatly appreciated! Burningblue52 (talk)
- @Burningblue52 -- Awesome to see another member interested in editing Riordan articles. I'd highly recommend you join the Wikipedia task-force WP:RRTF by placing your name in the members list. The task force, of which I am a part, is made up of editors who work together on those articles (most of us still work alone, but it's kinda like having backup in case something goes wrong). Spike
[edit]After Spike789 un-retired (I guess), his name was put in the "Unknown" section of WP:RRTF's members list because he had no response to the roll-call. However, I just noticed that he didn't receive a notice for the roll-call, because he was retired at the time you sent it out. I've sent the alert to him (just now). Then which member category should he be in? Happy editing, WikiPancake ✉ 📖 06:35, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
- @WikiPancake - So here's the deal with Spike789. He technically left the project, and hasn't chosen to return. They should really still be in inactive, but I put them in "Unknown" because of their return from retirement from Wikipedia in general. Nobody has been put in "unknown" yet from the roll-call because it's not over yet. I guess now that you've sent the roll-call invite, we'll see what Spike789 says (maybe give them a little more time than others since their roll-call came out late) about reaffirming membership. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 21:48, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
[edit]Hi there. Thanks for inviting me to join the Rick Riordan Task Force. I'm happy to join it but I'm not sure how. I rarely use Wikipedia so I'm not that familiar with how this site works. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bordercolliez (talk • contribs) 15:48, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
- Hey there, Bordercolliez, glad you're interested in joining! Just head on over to Rick Riordan Task Force#Join and read our guidelines. Then, edit the page and place your name in the "Active" part of our members list. This is all you have to do. Once you've joined, myself or another RRTF member will reach out to you with more info on how to get started working with the project.
- Also, on being unfamiliar with the Wiki: don't sweat it, we've all been where you are. Definitely check out the welcome notice an editor left on your talk page, but don't hesitate to reach out to other editors as well. If I can do anything to help, just say so! Thanks again for your interest, and happy editing! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:51, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
[edit]@22mikpau Thank You for your invitation, I will join the Rick Riordan Task Force. Also, there is no page for his new book The Hammer of Thor. Thanks again — Preceding unsigned comment added by 22mikpau (talk • contribs) 20:22, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
- No problem; glad to have you on board! I have left a message on your talk page detailing the next steps you can take. As to there being no page for The Hammer of Thor -- this is because the book is so new that it is currently non-notable and thus unsuitable for Wikipedia. Once more secondary and tertiary sources have been published about it (like reviews and best-selling info), RRTF will create a page for the book. If you like, you can start a discussion on the RRTF forums and propose that we get to work on an article draft now. This is generally considered the best way to create a new article.
- One last thing: Did you know that you can type
~~~~
at the end of talk-space posts to leave your name and the date your post was made? It might come in handy for you. Definitely let me know if you have any more questions, and welcome once again! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 20:40, 29 November 2016 (UTC)

- @22mikpau: - I'm counting edits for RRTF members automatically. I've got all the relevant pages on my watchlist, and I'm making a tally of anything I see members do. It's only non-members that need to let me know. Thanks for participating! I'm glad you think it's a good idea; we'll see how it turns out. Happy editing! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 16:33, 4 June 2017 (UTC)

RRTF role call
[edit]Sorry, I was unable to get on Wikipedia for 2 weeks. I would be happy to do role call. All I need is the templates. Also, thanks about the Op-ed, I'm glad you like it. I will make sure to mention it sometime today.22mikpau (talk) 17:12, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
- Okay! I did manage to get in touch with the HR Rep but it seems they are pretty busy. So here's my plan: I will post the forums message tomorrow, July 31st. After that, on July 31 or August 1, could you please use my template on each of the active members' pages? These are usually the HR Rep's jobs. Please also update the Current News box (this one is always your job). I plan to let the HR Rep handle the after-roll-call stuff in September, assuming they are active then.
- The template can be found here. To use it, go onto a member's talk page and click "New Section". In the main text editing box, type the following code:
{{Wikipedia:RRTF/roll call|link=Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Novels/Rick Riordan task force#Annual roll-call: August 2017}}
Click save, and you're done! Make sure to do this for every active member. They will then respond to my forum post to complete the roll call. Don't forget to respond yourself!
- If you would like, you may also reach out to the Unknown and/or Inactive members using this template. Let me know if you do, so I can check up on their responses later. The template page has an explanation of how to customize the message for these types of members, using the
|activity=
parameter. It also has a|note=
and|signature=
option for you to use, if you'd like. Reach out to me again if you're at all confused and thanks for stepping up. This is a big help! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 17:43, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

- @Steel1943: - Thank you for picking up on that. Hmmm, I'm actually not sure where that
|}
is coming from. It must be on Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Rick Riordan task force/roll call somewhere. I am copy-pasting this code:{{subst:Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Rick Riordan task force/roll call|activity=Inactive|note=etc.|link=Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Novels/Rick Riordan task force#Annual roll-call: August 2017}}
, so it's not something I'm doing manually. The little pipe and curly bracket aren't doing anything important though, so it's not a high priority to eliminate them. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:01, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
- If you look carefully at the diff I provided, it turns out that for some odd reason, the diff claims that the

from the section above the section you created didn't exist. But, if you look at the bottom of the diff, below the section you created, the diff claims that there was a|}
that already existed and was below the section you added ... which is definitely not true since Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels/Rick Riordan task force/roll call contains a|}

[edit]Sorry about that thing with the brick, I had an uncontrollable fangirl urge to do it.
Again sorry,
Serena Serena Foxglove-Tollini (talk) 06:46, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Serena Foxglove-Tollini: Rather than apologizing, think about what motivated you to put that in. I revert dozens of changes like that working for WP:RRTF because that sort of thing - what I call "fandalism" - just doesn't belong on Wikipedia. I don't mind doing it, but there is a lot of it to do, especially since not many editors can catch that sort of thing (think, for example, if you had said "with Mr. Brick" instead of "with a brick" - another editor could legitimately believe there is a character named Mr. Brick). So, maybe you should think about joining the RRTF: as someone who has wanted to "fandalize", you're not only understanding of others' motivations but also equipped to spot fandalism when it happens. We're always recruiting. That's just my two cents. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 19:49, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
Hello! I was trying to improve the article The Battle of the Labyrinth to a good article status. I cleaned up the article and expanded the sections. What would you suggest for the next step in improving the article? Also, I am trying to find direct urls for the reviews presented by Barnes and Noble, however, I could not find the direct urls for the School Library Journal, Children's Literature, VOYA, and Horn Book reviews. Is there any way to find them? Thanks, King Prithviraj II (talk) 08:44, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
- @King Prithviraj II: - OK, so as to your first question: That plot section needs to be cut to three solid paragraphs. Absolutely no more for a GA nominee. It and the Prophecy section also need to be well-referenced. The prophecy section in particular will be ripped apart by a GA reviewer if each "meaning" line is not carefully referenced. I can help proofread if and when you do this, when I get some free time. I can also advertise the page as a Collaboration if you wish to generate more attention form RRTF. Let me know.
- As to your second question: In the past, I have been offered links by GA reviewers or WP:NV members with subscriptions to these paid journals. You could reach out to WP:NV; somebody there is bound to have access and be able to help. You could also purchase subscriptions yourself (circa $500, though) or reach out to WP:Library. I will see what I can do personally, but for now the B&N link is fine. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 04:46, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! The references used in the Plot and Prophecy sections will be primary sources, like the page number of the book? Also, should each sentence be sourced in plot or will one reference at the end of the summary suffice? Thanks again, -- King Prithviraj II (talk)
- @King Prithviraj II: - Plot section should reference the book (just the whole book, page # is overkill), but also any secondary sources with summaries you can find. One ref after each paragraph, with any refs for specific lines used within the paragraphs as extra bonus material. Prophecy section, however, needs to reference secondary sources, otherwise reviewers will mark it as Original Research and kill the entire section. While you and I know that the prophecy is dissected in the novel, in my experience GA reviewers either do not believe this or consider the prophecy too unimportant to keep. Secondary source references constitute proof for our side of the issue. The prophecy section requires good references; the plot section needs to be as short as possible. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 04:14, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- I am currently working on the Plot in my sandbox, this will likely get over soon, help is welcome. I did an entire search for the prophecy on Google and only two likely (least likely, but that's the best lead we have got) reliable sources turned up. One is the Goodreads book quotes, but this is in the form of a quote and would almost be like citing the book itself. The other source is one Zoe Reads review, which doesn't seem like a reliable review source. Would GA reviewers object terribly if the Prophecy is within the Plot instead of a separate section, similar to The Son of Neptune, which I noticed is a GA? Thanks, -- King Prithviraj II (talk) 13:12, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! The references used in the Plot and Prophecy sections will be primary sources, like the page number of the book? Also, should each sentence be sourced in plot or will one reference at the end of the summary suffice? Thanks again, -- King Prithviraj II (talk)
- @King Prithviraj II: and 2ReinreB2: Just a note with an alternative viewpoint on this -- I have never brought an article to GA status so my opinion has little weight in that respect, but might be useful. It is totally acceptable to have the Plot section sourced entirely to the book itself (as you've suggested) in other words actually unsourced. You do not need a cited reference for each paragraph of the plot section, and if people are rejecting articles at GA for that reason, then they are wrong and should be corrected. I think the Prophecy could be included in the Plot section, and indeed that may be the best place to put it, but the whole section still needs to be kept short. A summary, not an exposition. MPS1992 (talk) 20:16, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- @MPS1992: Thanks! Will keep that in mind. -- King Prithviraj II (talk) 11:15, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- @2ReinreB2: Hello! I have completed the plot section in my sandbox. However, even after shortening, the plot seems too long to me, but removing details seems to affect the readers' recognition of the content. What do you suggest now? Should I copy this onto the plot section of The Battle of the Labyrinth? Thanks, -- King Prithviraj II (talk) 14:38, 22 November 2017 (UTC)
- @King Prithviraj II: - Ok, I'm glad you have worked to shorten the plot section. Shorter is better than what we have, so go ahead and put it into the actual article. I will come by and proofread once it's in, but I trust you to have covered the basic facts. As for the sourcing thing, again, the plot section only needs to reference the book, at the end of the whole section (or, if extra references are used, repeated at the end of each paragraph). The prophecy section needs references from reviews which summarize the book and mention the prophecy - we're not looking for reviews that actually dissect the prophecy. For example, imagine a source that reads "...when Percy confronts her about the prophecy, Annabeth admits she had been in love with Luke". Such a source would count as a reference for our 'translation' of the "lose a love to worse than death" line. That's all I'm looking for, and I'm sure the references already used in the reception section will serve just fine. Does that clarify some things? -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:31, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
- I have copied the plot section onto the article. Continuing search for prophecy sources, but I do have a bad feeling it will have to be scrapped, reviewers usually don't leave spoilers. Yes, everything is clarified and good. Thanks! King Prithviraj II (talk) 07:42, 23 November 2017 (UTC)

- On a completely different note, is Draft:The Hammer of Thor ready for submission? King Prithviraj II (talk) 18:30, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
- @King Prithviraj II: - Not quite yet; it needs some copyediting. The reception section still reads like a bunch of unrelated facts cobbled together. I will go through it when I get the chance. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 01:07, 24 November 2017 (UTC)
- @King Prithviraj II: - I'm working on assembling real citations for the Labyrinth. I've also found some new ones, and will add them in when I can. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:35, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
- Great! Thanks, King Prithviraj II (talk) 17:08, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
- @King Prithviraj II: - Ok, I have put in some references. With this raw material, we can do the final copyedit and referencing of the prophecy section (don't worry, some of my reviews will work there). I'll get to work on it when I get the chance. After that, either you or I will need to submit it for GA review. Then it's just a waiting game until a reviewer responds, followed by a flurry of activity for all three of us. Theoretically, our job is then complete and the article is a GA. Best of luck to you. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 04:00, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
- Wow! The article is really close to GA now minus prophecy sources. Thanks lot! King Prithviraj II (talk) 13:01, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of The Ship of the Dead
[edit]Hello 2ReinreB2,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged The Ship of the Dead for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
John from Idegon (talk) 04:35, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
- @John from Idegon: - I had nothing to do with this article, as I and WP:RRTF planned to write a draft for the subject until some unrelated user came along and created the page. I'm ok with the deletion as it stands, although it might be nice to just turn the page into a redirect to Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. 'Preciate your heads up. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 21:05, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
Joining the Rick Riordan Task Force
[edit]Hi 2ReinreB2! You recently let me know about this project on my talk page, and so I visited the page and added my name to the list. I have a couple questions: will unnactive members be kicked/moved from active section? Is there a userbox or identification to be placed on your user page? And, finally, are there any controversies I should avoid?
Thanks,
MKpro —Preceding undated comment added 20:01, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- @MKpro: - Hey there! So glad you accepted our offer. To answer your questions:
- Your name gets left on the "active" list until you fail to respond to a "roll-call". These happen once a year in August/September, and we send out lots of reminders before the deadline. If you don't respond, we move you to "unknown" after the first year, and to "inactive" after two years with no response. The only other way to be removed from "active" is to get yourself blocked or banned from the wiki - but that's really rare and hard to do, so no worries there.
- I left a Welcome note on your talk page with some links to userboxes. They're all optional, you pick what you like and only if you want to.
- As far as controversies go, I'm not sure what you mean. If you're talking about controversial info about the books - if it's explicitly in a book or said by Rick Riordan, we include it, no matter what the fanbase thinks (this includes "spoilers"). If you're talking about stuff to avoid doing in the project, I've never heard of anything "controversial" happening. Just general Wikipedia stuff like no edit warring, vandalism, or sockpuppetry. We're a very small and relaxed group, and generally accepting of all types of ideas and suggestions.
- Hope that helps. Reach out if you think of more questions! And I really do mean that, I do everything I can to help our members stick around. Happy editing, and thanks again for joining! -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 03:57, 7 March 2018 (UTC)
The Dark Prophecy
[edit]Hello, I have just recently expanded the critical reception section of The Dark Prophecy. I have added ample amount of reviews to the article, but the usual reviewers such as Kirkus, Booklist and School Library Journal don't seem to have reviewed the book online. Any chance offline reviews exist and you can access them? Also, would you like to copyedit the section for readability and prose? I am not very good at writing about reception. Thanks , King Prithviraj II (talk) 21:52, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- @King Prithviraj II: - I'm very impressed with all your work! I will try to take a look at it, but I am very busy right now. It may be several weeks before I can get around to it. I know of a source for offline reviews that I'll check, although it may be that nobody reviewed this novel since it's the third in the series (I've seen that happen before). I will let you know. Happy editing (and keep up the great work!) -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 03:08, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
- Sure, take your time! Thanks, King Prithviraj II (talk) 13:30, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
In case you are unaware, someone had gone ahead and created a draft for Draft:The Burning Maze, which just released on the 1st of this month. King Prithviraj II (talk) 14:16, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
- @King Prithviraj II: - Thanks for the update. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:08, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
- @King Prithviraj II: - Ok, so I looked around for reviews on The Dark Prophecy but wasn't able to find anything except more publication info. I did copyedit the reception section (which was very well-written, by the way). All I did there was rearrange the reviews so that they were grouped into topics: characters, pacing, humor, miscellaneous. I think the way you have it written is fine in general and I appreciate you taking the initiative here. Just for future reference, I think if we trim down the plot and make the lead a better summary of all the sections, this article could be a GA candidate. -- 2ReinreB2 (talk) 17:35, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks! King Prithviraj II (talk) 09:23, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
