Merges

[edit]

Hey, if you're going to "complete AfD merges", then you need to actually take some of the information on the page and add it to the target page. Please don't just blindly redirect the page if it was closed as merge. This has come up before. Toughpigs (talk) 01:51, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

Please stop edit-warring about your ill-considered tagging. It is beginning to border on vandalism.

I have a question for you: What is your definition of notability? I cannot understand the principle that you're using to make your decisions. Toughpigs (talk) 03:18, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'll try to get out of your hair. 2605:B40:13E7:F600:5C3E:C3DA:FDE9:A738 (talk) 13:00, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, my logic was that the other episodes had the same amount of coverage, so there wasn't much more to set them apart from being "just more episodes." Flawed? Maybe. But I will stop. 2605:B40:13E7:F600:5C3E:C3DA:FDE9:A738 (talk) 22:46, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll ask again: you are very interested in putting notability tags on articles, but I'm not sure that you understand what "notability" means. What is your definition of notability? Toughpigs (talk) 23:25, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If it's gotten enough recognition/attention that would be deemed significant. Maybe I'm missing something, but both of those episodes from before seem to be covered just as much as any other episode; I don't see much that's that significant. 2605:B40:13E7:F600:5C3E:C3DA:FDE9:A738 (talk) 00:20, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That is an incorrect definition. You should read WP:NOTABILITY. It is not based on a vague sense that something is "significant". A topic is notable because it receives significant coverage in multiple independent, reliable sources. "Significant coverage" means that it has been addressed directly and in detail. One topic is not judged as being notable in comparison with another, similar topic. If it has received significant coverage, the topic is notable. Toughpigs (talk) 01:02, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The more you know. Goodbye. 2605:B40:13E7:F600:5C3E:C3DA:FDE9:A738 (talk) 01:05, 18 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
