Changing party titles
[edit]Hi!
I've noticed that you have been changing the party affiliations of several mayoral races in California. In California, municipal races are nonpartisan. See the section: Voter nonminated offices: here Marleeashton (talk) 07:23, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi - yes.
- There are still no parties listed on primaries or elections on these ballots or voter information guides for voter-nominated offices. Its standard practice on here to not include party affiliation of elected officials unless they run for offices within the State or Nationally under a party affiliation. Hi! I've noticed some of your contributions on California-related articles and think it shows that you're exactly the kind of editor we need at WikiProject California. Please consider this your personal invitation to join us; if you're interested, joining is as simple as adding yourself to . The project currently tracks 71,422 California-related articles on English Wikipedia, with the long-term goal of getting them all awarded the Good Article badge or better (we've got 851 there so far!), and we'd be truly grateful for any assistance, large or small, you are able to lend. |

P.S. Did I mention we're in charge of the California portal too? Have any ideas on how it could be better? We're all ears. | ||

[edit]Hello, I'm Marleeashton. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, 2002 San Jose mayoral election, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Marleeashton (talk) 07:32, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Mayoral elections in Irvine, California does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Marleeashton (talk) 07:34, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
