Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Bobby Moynihan does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks!   Aloha27  talk  00:00, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Macaddct1984. An edit you recently made to Bram Stoker's Dracula seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. MacAddct1984 (talk | contribs) 00:39, 29 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the one you made on T'Pol. I greatly appreciate your constructive edits on Wikipedia. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (2602:306:381E:5630:356A:B32:7680:BC15) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page. Again, welcome! There is othing wrong in having the two directors as redlinks ... it is deliberate.

Hello,

I've noticed that you've made several edits to Henry on the Pirates of the Caribbean-related pages. If you have a reliable source for these changes, I would appreciate you adding it here so that all interested editors can see the source.

Hello, I'm Mlpearc Phone. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you unlinked one or more redlinks from Template:The Rolling Stones. Often redlinks can be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.

In addition, clicking on the "What links here" special link (in the Wikipedia Toolbox at left) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Redlinks are useful! Please, only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! Please see WP:REDLINKS. Please revert your change to Template:The Rolling Stones, thank you, Mlpearc Phone (open channel) 02:05, 4 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Bryan Fuller. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Jim1138 (talk) 03:56, 1 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
