[edit]Hello I'm Dinah Kirkland a fellow Wikipedian. I recommend you add something to your userpage such as basic information but nothing to personal like mine. It makes it easier to access your talk page. If you need any assistance you can post a discussion on my talk page. Dinah Kirkland (talk) 17:22, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm PlyrStar93. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Lake Shore Public Schools because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks. -★- PlyrStar93. →Message me. ← 13:01, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
- I don't understand. The banner at the top said the article needed more inline_citations.--23mason (talk) 13:30, 22 September 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for adding additional references to this article! However, please note that, per WP:RS/IMDb, IMDb is not considered a reliable source and should not be used in citations. Thanks! DonIago (talk) 15:07, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry. It will be a lot harder without IMDb. ):
--23mason (talk) 14:36, 12 January 2018 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, as with Wikipedia itself, much of the information on IMDb can be added by anyone. Happy editing! DonIago (talk) 18:13, 16 January 2018 (UTC)

[edit]ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message
[edit]- Just voted in my first ArbCom election!--23mason (talk) 17:49, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for your work here. The last two sources you added don't look like reliable sources, however; can we change them to any of the standard biographies (such as Lindenberg)? Clean Copytalk 23:08, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
- I don't understand what you are asking here. The biography I was editing was on Rudolph Steiner, not "Lindenberg." If a source isn't reliable in one biography, why would it be acceptable to use it in another one. Why are you asking my permission to edit something?--23mason (talk) 16:28, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry for the confusion! I was politely suggesting that the existing source be changed to cite a more reliable one, a biography of Steiner by Lindenberg, which contains the same material. Clean Copytalk 21:50, 6 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Clean Copy: I suggest you revert your reply. tgeorgescu (talk) 15:40, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

Discretionary sanctions
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. tgeorgescu (talk) 12:50, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
- Why are you saying that I am interested in "Complementary and Alternative Medicine." This message is confusing.--23mason (talk) 16:31, 4 March 2022 (UTC)

- Why are you saying I show an interest in "pseudoscience and fringe science" This message confuses me.--23mason (talk) 16:33, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- Because you have shown interest in the article Rudolf Steiner, who was a pseudoscientist pur sang. tgeorgescu (talk) 19:47, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- I never heard that Rudolph Steiner was a pseudoscientist until looking at this article. I am very familiar with the Waldorf education system and his philosophical books, which dealt with topics like metaphysics and epistemology, not pseudoscience. I am also familiar with the style of art that is associated with Steiner and Waldorf education. So the fact (if it is a fact) that he also involved himself in pseudo-science doesn't make me a person who is interested in pseudoscience or fringe science. For that matter, an editor doesn't need to be interested in the subject of an article to edit the article. I often run across issues, in random articles, that need to be addressed. In those cases I am just trying to improve the Wikipedia as a whole. 23mason (talk) 18:59, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- He did not "deal" with pseudoscience. He spew out pseudoscience for most of his scientific concerns, like biodynamic agriculture, Anthroposophic medicine, his original views upon physics, astronomy and geology, and so on. He considered himself competent in many sciences despite his obvious ineptitude at understanding modern science. Steiner's contributions to modern science are the self-indulgent ramblings of a failed dilettante. He wasn't a scientific genius and polymath, he was a wacko suffering of delusions of grandeur. tgeorgescu (talk) 21:51, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

- Just obey the WP:RULES, including WP:PSCI, in letter and in spirit and everything will be fine. tgeorgescu (talk) 15:38, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- OK. Was there a rule I have violated? I don't believe I did that. 23mason (talk) 19:00, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- I did not say you have violated WP:PSCI. I have stated that you should take care not to violate it, which is quite another statement. tgeorgescu (talk) 19:54, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
