You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (213.167.10.151) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a new Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. Snooker articles
[edit]Thankyou for the fixes you are performing on the snooker articles in regards to the European Open/European Masters. I see in one of your edit summaries that the commentators stated it was a resurrection of the older tournament and there is currently a debate about this issue at Talk:European Open (snooker)#RFC: Should the European Masters entry be split from this article to a new article? and your comments at the discussion would be welcome. Don't copy & paste articles into their respective talk pages as doing so is very disruptive. If you have a genuine edit request then feel to leaving one asking what you want changed & provide a reliable source to verify the requested changes are legitimate. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 23:55, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm MBlaze Lightning. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Marco Fu, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —MBlaze Lightning T 15:19, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Tian Pengfei. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jim1138 (talk) 07:59, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Ronnie O'Sullivan. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Jim1138 (talk) 08:29, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- @Jim1138: The IP User updated per the existing source, could you please clarify this warning. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 14:10, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
- My apology on the warning. I restored your change to Ronnie O'Sullivan. Please use an edit summary such as "updating prize money per ref". Unfortunately, I spend way too much time undoing people's wp:vandalism which often consists of random changes to numbers. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 18:43, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
Edit summaries
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Jim1138 (talk) 18:43, 17 December 2016 (UTC)
Please respect the ranking order. Where players are level on ranking titles, the number of 'minor' ranking events is taken into consideration. If players still cannot be separated, then they're listed alphabetically, by surname. As of now, John Higgins is above Ronnie O'Sullivan. This is not the first time you've had this edit reverted. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
