[edit]Hello, I'm Mr.weedle. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Donovan Patton, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Mr.weedle (talk) 02:27, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Gabbie Hanna. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 03:34, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
1950s articles
[edit]- Hello, 208.127 -- Please let me know some of the problems that you see with those and I'll see what I can do. At the moment, I maintain the ones I had started for the months of 1950, 1958 and 1959. Other editors created the ones for 1953, 1954 and 1955, but I'm all in favor of making fixes to keep the any page in the project consistent and to keep all pages accurate. Thanks. Mandsford 15:09, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Well, there is a lack of sources, the articles are almost empty, grammar needs to be fixed, among many issues--208.127.190.114 (talk) 16:19, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the clarification. Some of the grammar problems here drive me up the wall, particularly dangling participles written by folks who think that they're writing prize-winning work. Everybody on Wikipedia has the right to edit an article, so you can correct grammatical mistakes without having to ask for pre-approval. It's just a matter of clicking the edit button at the top of the page, and any improvements are greatly appreciated. Regarding empty spaces, those are irritating as well but fixing it requires more time because of the research involved. That said, research is not as difficult as it might seem. If there's an empty space for, say, December 7, 1954, the typical fix begins with typing "on December 7, 1954" or "on 7 December 1954" into the search box and seeing what it might produce, such as these 16 items. Thank you for bringing this up. Please send this to those involved in the Year project.208.127.190.114 (talk) 22:27, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Toddst1. Your recent edit(s) to the page Dan Green (voice actor) appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 23:45, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
What do you mean by a phony source? I added it straight from a book.208.127.190.114 (talk) 23:47, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Donovan Patton. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 01:55, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

Adding information to day of the year/year articles
[edit]Hi, I'm Perfect4th. I noticed you were adding information to date articles and wanted to thank you for adding references. A quick note about those: Wikipedia generally uses some templates that include a bit more information to help improve the references. If you could use one like {{cite web}} (here's a quick guide), it would help make the references more accessible. Thanks for your work on Wikipedia! Perfect4th (talk) 00:12, 12 October 2022 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Andra Day, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 21:11, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Donald Albury. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, St. Petersburg, Florida, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Seminoles and Miccosukees did not arrive in Florida until at least two centuries after the Spanish did. Even the Tocobagos were first mentioned some 50 years after the Spanish arrived. Donald Albury 19:06, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for your response. I added it as I felt it was important to highlight who was indigenous. 208.127.190.114 (talk) 20:27, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- Please note that the source that you cited does not mention the Seminole or Miccosukkee at all. That site also is writtten for use in in school lessons, and, as this is an encyclopedia, it is better to use reliable sources such as scholarly books published by reputable publishers and articles in recognized scholarly journals, and written by recognized experts in their field. There are plenty of such sources available for the Tocobaga (see the sources cited in Tocobaga), and there is no need to use weak sources about the Tocobaga. [edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from St. Petersburg, Florida into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. I have added an edit summary to Tampa Bay area noting the content copied from St. Petersburg, Florida. Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Abolqasem Salavati: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Firestar464 (talk) 02:20, 9 January 2023 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Dynasties in Chinese history, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. CodeTalker (talk) 20:36, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
