Request reason:

Hi Bbb23. :I already read the guide to appealing blocks. Since I'm new to Wikipedia, I presume I was blocked because I did something wrong. Following the list of possible violations, I created two different accounts because I realized that I unconsciously used a personal Email, which I use to personal matters. The first thing I did was create another account with a different email. This is the main mistake I made regarding your rules. :My intention is not to do it again. :Additionally, since I have knowledge about AI and biometrics, I was contributing to a page where I thought I could add content. Being new to Wikipedia's rules, I was aware of the lack of content links or guidelines on that page, but I thought I could start practicing there until I completed my contributions. I didn't expect to be blocked or have my work deleted so soon. I also sent an email to the person who deleted that page, asking for guidance on how to make the necessary corrections. If there is something else please let me know if I made another mistake or violation. :Lastly, I'm here to contribute my knowledge and experience to the community. There are several topics where I can contribute, and I am passionate about learning and making social contributions to public knowledge. I look forward to continuing to learn about your community. Happy to help. 2024july (talk) 15:43, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

User is unresponsive. Yamla (talk) 12:50, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You addressed this statement to Bbb23, but an unblock request is to ask for a third party to review this matter. If you wish to negotiate with Bbb23, you don't need to make an unblock request. I would note that the specific email address you attach to an account is not relevant to anything on Wikipedia; it's not known to anyone other than you(unless you reply to emails sent via Wikipedia) and we don't know if a particular email address is "business" or "personal". 331dot (talk) 20:11, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Bbb23: I would appreciate your input on the unblock request, including both the grounds for the original block as well as whether you think an unblock would be warranted at this time. Thank you, Newyorkbrad (talk) 14:57, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The block is what it says it's for: socking. I oppose an unblock. See SmartBarrel and HJ Mitchell's block of Wendpio. There are probably other accounts as well.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:07, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23 and HJ Mitchell: Bbb23, thanks for the reply. I saw that the block was for socking, but I wasn't certain who the editor was a sock of (I could try to figure it out from your contributions, but on an unblock request I hate to guess). Also, the editor has now provided an explanation for why he registered two accounts, and I'm trying to figure out whether this is a good-faith explanation or not. HJ Mitchell, I'd appreciate your commenting as well, including on whether this block needs to be left for CU review. Thanks, Newyorkbrad (talk) 15:50, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are three accounts. HJ blocked one, and I blocked the other two.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:53, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Newyorkbrad (cc @Bbb23) I don't think this absolutely has to be left for a CU. I can tell you that Wendpio and 2024july don't share an IP address but are on the same large range in a part of the world known for very busy ranges. I can tell you that those two accounts have identical user agents but that it's one of the most common UAs on Earth. And they share an interest in one article, which I'm close to certain was created by a PR/black hat SEO firm. I'd be curious to know if 2024july has any relationship to SmartBarrel or a PR firm but if their answer was a lie I couldn't prove it. From there it's an exercise in trust, or perhaps rope. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 16:19, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
2024july, please let me have your thoughts about these concerns? Newyorkbrad (talk) 16:30, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure if this is also related to another UPE/Spam "ring" that Ponyo has noted in some of her blocks.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:57, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Who knows? They're innumerable. What's concerning about this case is there is 1) admitted creation of multiple accounts by this editor who 2) added what amounts to ad copy to a newly created article that has typical UPE hallmarks. I'd be wary.-- Ponyobons mots 17:27, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you get unblocked, would you be willing to avoid editing about SmartBarrel? Can you give a few specific examples of edits you might make? Elli (talk | contribs) 15:36, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. I don’t mind avoid editing about SmartBarrel.
To whom it may concern:
I'm new to Wikipedia. Editing here is something I can do in my free time. I noticed that the user 'Yamla' mentioned that I am 'unresponsive.' I want to clarify that I have other responsibilities in life, such as work, family, and personal matters, which is why I was absent for a period of time.
These are the two user accounts I created: 2024july and Alara8015. Since I made a mistake, I won’t do it again. I would like to delete Alara8015. I am a research expert and passionate about technology, AI, and biometrics. The content of the SmartBarrel page is legitimate; I did my research, and everything is real and verifiable, as you can see in the references information. This organization has some patents, which are contributions to the field. You can fiend those patents on Google patents. As an educated person and a professional expert in education and research, I always fulfill my job responsibilities, which is why I was working on the SmartBarrel page.
To my understanding, Wikipedia is a place where real and neutral information should be publicly available, which was the purpose of my work on the SmartBarrel page.
Both user accounts, 2024july and Alara8015, are mine. SmartBarrel is making significant contributions to the industry, and the information and content about this organization are real. The language and content of the page I edited were clear, neutral, and accurate.
I sent an email to HJ Mitchell asking for guidance. I am also open to receiving other advice on how to recover my account and the work I did.
Again, I don’t mind stopping the edits on SmartBarrel. I think someone else in the future can continue contributing to that page.
Please let me know what else I can do to continue my contributions. 2024july (talk) 15:03, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You haven't provided us with some examples of edits that you might make. Can you tell us, which edits do you want to make in the case that you are unblocked? 🔥YesI'mOnFire🔥(ContainThisEmber?) 15:10, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, thx.
Well, In the particular case of the page I was editing, it was deleted, but here are the notes I have about the edits I was working on at that time:
Solutions and Features
Smartbarrel tech solutions are designed for both general contractors and speciality contractors. The solutions include Time Tracking App, Portable Time Clock, Daily Log, Safety Tracking, Access Control, Time & Attendance, Manpower Tracking, and Cost Tracking/Productivity. The major features of these solutions are:
Time tracking: Smartbarrel's AI-powered solutions utilize a facial recognition feature that allows workers to clock in and out instantly without IDs, thus reducing time theft.
Centralization of employee data: The system syncs employee data to the cloud, letting site supervisors monitor activity from anywhere. This gives real-time productivity oversight and informed decision-making on schedules.
Policy compliance: Regulatory demands for labour tracking and safety are met through automated compliance features.
System integration: Integration is a priority in Smartbarrel's design. The solutions support most of the existing project management software for the maintenance of existing workflows.
Analytics and reporting: Smartbarrel solutions provide project managers with insights into trends, bottlenecks, and optimizations for future projects.
Funding and Growth
Smartbarrel has raised $3.87 million in total over 7 funding rounds, according to CB Insights, with the February 2024 round attracting $0.90 million. Smartbarrel's capacity to consistently attract funding shows that investors see good potential for the company's future growth and have confidence in its technologies and core offerings. Initial investors in the company included Dreamit Ventures and LexPark Holdings. 2024july (talk) 00:10, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Is this an example of what you've characterized as "clear, neutral, and accurate?" Because this text is blatantly promotional, to the extent that someone might remove this as unambiguous promotion, even as just an example on your talk page. Your best approach here would be to remove this section completely, and propose a voluntary topic ban from SmartBarrel and honestly, if this is consistent with your approach on writing about companies, a wider topic ban from articles about corporations. Do you have any specific edits on other topics you'd like to make? CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 00:32, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I previously mentioned that I don’t mind stopping my edits on Smart-barrel. I’m just sharing the notes I have from that time, trying to answer a question. I’m new here and I was looking to make contributions.
At this point, I’m not interested in continuing investing my free time on this.
Can anyone advise me on how to permanently delete my accounts? I created two accounts because I realized I had unintentionally used a personal email for one of them. The first thing I did was create another account with a different email. I want to protect my personal email and information.
Thank you for your guidance. I appreciate it. 2024july (talk) 01:09, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Accounts can not be deleted. You can, however, change your email under Preferences. CoffeeCrumbs (talk) 02:26, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
