Welcome!
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the ones you made to Lockheed P-38 Lightning. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
Here are some links to pages you may find useful:
- Contributing to Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- Simplified Manual of Style
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a minimum number of days and made a minimum number of edits.
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (173.93.112.9) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).
Happy editing! Binksternet (talk) 03:39, 22 October 2019 (UTC)
Missing Wikipedians
[edit]Please follow the instructions outlined under the purpose of this list section on the above page. It states:
- The purpose of this list is to provide a reminder of those who have left and their reasons for doing so.
- Please do not add users with fewer than ~1,000 edits. Do not add people unless you are certain they have left. Do not add anonymous users :identified by their IP address or (for UseModWiki-era accounts) domain names; they may have a roaming IP address or possibly created an account :to contribute. Do not add banned users, or yourself. Leave a message on the person's talk page to let them know that you have added them to this :list; they can remove themselves if they ever return. Retired Wikipedians who do not wish to be listed may also remove themselves.
As I am not aware of ever communicating with you I am not sure how you were certain I had left. Further, you failed to give me notice you had added me to this page. Please follow the instructions as outlined above. KnightLago (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 13 September 2021 00:46 (UTC)
- Following up on KnightLago's post above you should not be tagging editor pages or adding names to the list. Continuation of this kind of editing is WP:DISRUPTIVE and can lead to a block. MarnetteD|Talk 17:24, 10 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Notion (The Rare Occasions song) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Notion (The Rare Occasions song) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline (see also this list of frequently-discussed sources). The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.discogs.com/release/19381918-The-Rare-Occasions-Futureproof) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 18:53, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pat Bergeson. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 18:55, 9 September 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Do not use multiple IP addresses to disrupt Wikipedia, like you did at User talk:Darkwind. Such attempts to avoid detection, circumvent policies or evade blocks or sanctions will not succeed. You are welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, but your recent edits have been reverted or removed. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Block evasion by User:Hoggardhigh. Binksternet (talk) 16:20, 7 December 2022 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
