Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Ron Paul Curriculum
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Ron Paul Curriculum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. DGG ( talk ) 04:50, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Draft: Ron Paul Curriculum
[edit]@DGG:
1. I was not nearly finished with the draft, and did NOT send it in for review. I simply wanted to close it so I hit Publish and typed in the changes thing that I did NOT want to submit it yet, but that I wasn't sure if it'd submit.
2. The reason it seemed 'advertisy' is because I copied and pasted it from something I wrote a long time ago for fun. I decided to revise it, which I had only just started doing when I saved it, only to find it speedy-deletioned when I returned. Anyway, it is not supposed to be an advertisment, and what's funny is that the original wasn't supposed to be either, but I wasn't bound by rules at the time, so yeah, I was just going to edit this alot. I did not mean to submit it yet, and I even specified that, you just didn't see that I suppose. Anyway, yeah, please don't delete it, its not nearly done!
Also, my IP address changes sometimes, and my old one was 172.17.88.139, so edits by that address were by me also.

- what you need to do is to place this statement on the talk page of the draft, and the admin who checks to do the actual deletion will see it. DGG ( talk ) 05:10, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- The reason things like this get deleted is that it's far easier to write a suitable draft from nothing than it would be from that text, which was wholly unsuitable for Wikipedia. WilyD 08:51, 16 December 2019 (UTC)
- Minor note: the range 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255 is a private-use address space (like 196.168.* and 10.*), and those generally should not be able to be routed outside your local network, so your previous address visible to Wikipedia was likely not 172.17.88.139. —[AlanM1(talk)]— 02:04, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
- You're right, my IP was actually 172.77.18.139 (As you can see it has changed again) 50.120.11.188 (talk) 20:07, 21 January 2020 (UTC)

Trial 47
[edit]Draft:Trial 47 will be Declined again, because IMBd and YouTube are not considered accepted references. Either find good refs or give up. As for Ron Paul, Draft space is considered public, even if not submitted. Ditto working on a draft in your Sandbox. Admins can reach in and trash something if in their opinion it has no potential for becoming an article. Brutal? Yes. David notMD (talk) 02:10, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
