[edit]Hello, I'm SafariScribe. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Bryan Singer, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 14:04, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @SafariScribe - I just summarized the verified subsections with a summary in the "lead" of that section. Why has the change been removed? Wouldn't that just be redundant to also have to list the same verifications/sources in the lead? --164.64.118.99 (talk) 14:12, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for getting back. On Wikipedia, addition of unsourced content to a biographies (in your case) and other articles without supporting it with a reliable source is not constructive. We try to verify that each statement is correct per the source given. I will advice you follow the blue links in my reply to see various ways to add content to articles on Wikipedia. - The content isn't unsourced, though. It's already sourced extensively in that section, and my two-sentence summary above follows WP:LEAD. @SafariScribe 164.64.118.99 (talk) 14:32, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- We don't summarize sections already with subsections as seen here Bryan Singer#Sexual assault allegations. Adding summarizes information like that is done optionally in the lede (see WP:MOSLEAD). In any way you add such information, we take no other option than to revert it since it adds a new information to the section without reliable sources. It will affect readers too, so I advice you read the links on blue again to understand more. Thanks for you optimistic inputs to Wikipedia. Regards! — Safari ScribeEdits!
