Information icon Hello, I'm S0091. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Sharad Pawar seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm Eagles247. Your recent edit(s) to the page List of Heisman Trophy winners appears to have added incorrect information, so it has been removed for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions, such as the one you made on N. K. Jemisin. I greatly appreciate your constructive edits on Wikipedia. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

You are welcome to continue editing without logging in, but many editors recommend that you create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits, such as the ability to create articles. For a full outline and explanation of the benefits that come with creating an account, please see this page. If you edit without a username, your IP address (159.39.101.2) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on this page.

Again, welcome! HouseOfChange (talk) 14:07, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed your good change at N. K. Jemisin, thanks for making an excellent clarification there. In your recent edit history, I see you added to Don Barnes the statement that he is the only original member of his band. Wikipedia rules are that you should give a reliable "source" for such additions--many editors just delete an unsourced addition, but in recognition of your good work at NKJ I found a good source and added it. Anyway, I hope you stick around and "learn" Wikipedia so that your work can be part of this encyclopedia project. HouseOfChange (talk) 14:14, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Peter Tork, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Information icon Hello, I'm Severestorm28. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Jay Dardenne, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Severestorm28 22:13, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation pages

[edit]

Please note that disambiguation pages like St George's Church and St. George's School are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Grand Prairie, Texas appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Hello, I'm Philipnelson99. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Ashleigh Clare-Kearney, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Philipnelson99 (talk) 22:36, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
