Addition of cruisers raiding Lunga point in Battle of Eastern Solomons

[edit]

Hi. I reverted your edit to the Battle of the Eastern Solomons that added a statement claiming that the old Japanese cruisers would later harass Lunga point. This statement needs supporting citation. Also please note that the article is a Featured Article, so edits are especially noticed. Please make sure to provide citations when adding new information to articles, and please make sure they are grammatically correct as well. Thank you, and happy editing.  — sbb (talk) 22:04, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Block notice

[edit]

You've been blocked again, for displaying the same WP:BATTLEGROUND mentality that resulted in three previous blocks at User talk:158.181.83.48. If you fail to learn that you need to listen to others, accept that sometimes you are not right, or that your opinion is no more valid than anyone else's, you will be blocked for longer and longer periods of time until you are no longer permitted to edit Wikipedia. Take some time to consider what I've said here, adjust your attitude, and come back prepared to engage with other editors in a constructive way. Parsecboy (talk) 18:21, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

how do i appeal? there is no link/button. 158.181.81.24 (talk) 18:57, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

this is inhumane treatment. there was a dispute about some numbers on a page that nobody ever reads, and now i am blocked for 3 months. this is 100% a style issue, somebody does not like A and can produce a wikipedia buddy to make him think he can get his will without consensus of any kind, while claiming there needs to be a consensus. does anyone still have a bit of sense here. how do you expect people not to lose faith in wikipedia politics and use proxies to circumvent rules enforcement. I evne had to read a paragraph on the talk page about my supposed mentality and other psychological and character issues. i am willing to accept a 3 day ban as a compromise. Or maybe a ban on a specific section of wikipedia. otherwise proxy. this is just too ridiculous158.181.81.24 (talk) 09:42, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your threat to evade your block, I'm afraid, makes it impossible to lift the block. Yamla (talk) 10:51, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

ARE YOU NOT HEARING ME? i have no interest in playing games. Are there not enough actual delinquents to occupy you?

Stop yelling at us, and withdraw the threat to evade your block, and we can talk. 331dot (talk) 11:49, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

You and i both know that proxies are not a credible threat. Or maybe you don't. I have no interest in yelling or cause any consequences to your bureaucratic infernal machine. i won't tell a soul. All I want. What is really important to me, is that the institutional dysfunction be limited to 3 days

Decline reason:

Duplicate unblock request, will respond in thread below. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:06, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It can be completely removed if you adequately address the reason for the block. You haven't done that here. This isn't a matter of bureaucracy, but of administrators willing to put themselves on the line to unblock you. To do that, we must be convinced there will be no more disruption. The blocked person does not get to choose the duration of the block. 331dot (talk) 12:06, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

bullshit. a single edit that gets reverted once and thus has to be read first, is a greater disruption than a second counter-revert, that happens soon after. i have not vandalized wikipedia nor am i totally incompetent. it was a disagreement over style. a 3 day ban is plenty of firepower to deal with it. i am unwilling to be taught obedience by draconian punishment. this is inhumane.158.181.81.24 (talk) 12:52, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

And with this I am removing your talkpage access. Your continued battleground mentality in your unblock requests shows you truly do not get why your edit was reverted and you were blocked. Also you do not get to choose the length of your block, especially when you are openly threating to evade it. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:08, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would add that blocks are not a punishment, but a means to end disruption. 331dot (talk) 17:24, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
