You are correct about the unsourced part, altho sources definitely exist, maybe requiring some hunting. It's not really original research. ISW mentioned it at some point.
However...
Your ascription of bad faith in edit summary is a (itself good-faith ;) transgression of WP:FAITH, a fundamental principle that protects the valuable contributions of relative noobs like me and IP users like you from being over-curated.
If you would care to have a look at my contributions to controversial topics, they tend to be copy edits or small and typically very neutral substantive edits. Some of them are minor edits, and some others aren't marked as such simply because I was in a hurry and didn't check the box.
In the future, please add a citation needed tag like I am about to do. If you wish, you can start a discussion on the talk page (or create it if needed) instead of reverting.
