Welcome

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address (121.1.18.241) is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! Please edit constructively

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Do it yourself do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Corydoras. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

Your edits to September 17

[edit]

Dear 121.1.18.241,
Some of your edits on the page September 17 have been undone by PseudoBot, a robot built to keep the date pages tidy. The problems are:

The person you added doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia page.

If the page exists, check that you've spelled and capitalized the name the same way as the article, and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally. If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved. Please see this page for help. PseudoBot (talk) 14:53, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Uploading and downloading. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Digos City National High School with this edit, has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. For constructive edits, always provide an informative edit summary so that editors have a brief description of your intentions. If you want to try out how editing Wikipedia works, please edit the sandbox page and not encyclopedia articles. If you have questions about editing Wikipedia, you might want to take a look at this tutorial. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Hello 121.1.18.241. It has now been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Submissions/High School Musical: Reprise!.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Submissions/High School Musical: Reprise!}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Hasteur (talk) 14:18, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to History of the Philippines (1521–1898) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • Harvnb|Zaide|2006|p=78}}</ref> On Easter Sunday, 31 March 1521, at Limasawa Island, Southern Leyte (as what is stated in Pigafetta's Primo Viaggio Intorno El Mondo (First Voyage Around the World),

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 12:52, 13 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The policy WP:SOCIALMEDIA you linked to is about article sources in references, not external links.

What you are adding are external links for which the relevant policies are WP:ELNO point #10, and Wikipedia:ELNO#Official_links which explains that "Normally, only one official link is included."

The website therefore suffices as an official link. Confusing, I know, but please don't continue to add lists of social media sites, as it is contrary to policy. Thanks. Begoontalk 14:15, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

ps - it would also be good, now that you have had the relevant policy explained, if you would undo your re-insertion. Thank you. Begoontalk 14:19, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Just adding that I understand you were unable to self-revert, due to your block, so I did so, and there's a discussion at Talk:Torch_(browser)#Social_media_links_in_external_links you should join, rather than further edit-warring, if you're still interested in this when you return. Cheers. Begoontalk 17:51, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Fancyber

[edit]

The article Fancyber has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced article for a non-notable application. Fails WP:GNG. See also article talk page

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Flat Out let's discuss it 04:38, 16 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
