Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Where the Wild Roses Grow & Un Chien Andalou

[edit]

Hello @--peter.josvai (or Peter). Any update regarding the "Where the Wild Roses Grow" issue? I know it's been a few years since that issue was brought up, but if you ever need some citation help or resources for that claim just let me know.

Also, thank you for your edits on the Talk Page of Un Chien Andalou! It's chaotic with the dozens of articles saying 16 minutes, 17 minutes, 21 minutes, 24 minutes, etc. Nevertheless, have a good one my man. - MateoFrayo (talk) 21:09, 12 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, MateoFrayo, thank you for your inquiry, as well as for your kind offer.
I don't consider the Wild Roses incident an issue, other than that with Wikipedia. I mean, there is an artist whose song features a drown woman, okay, not drawn, but killed and floating in the water, also singing in the water like that...
And there is another artist, with whom this artist [Cave] lived together on a daily basis, and who "also" has a music video involving water and being floating, drawn...
This other artist had her album come out earlier... and she even has the drawn picture of a woman (herself) on the album cover.
This is something that in my view should definitely be "mentioned" along with the Millais canvas, as another source of inspiration, whatever.
Wikipedia as a system is by far not capable of providing, not to mention willing to, this much freedom for editors in opposition of a product of a corporation (a Nick Cave album, record label).
This is a problem, and I don't think it can be solved anytime soon.
You too, have a good one. --peter.josvai (talk) 06:00, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
