[edit]Your recent editing history at Tropical Cyclone Maria shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Do not continue making page moves when you know it is disputed by someone else. Jasper Deng (talk) 14:37, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
Hurricane Maria
[edit]Your recent move of this article did not follow an established convention for the naming of articles concerning hurricanes, and you did not propose it on the article's Talk page for discussion. If and when it is moved, it will move to Hurricane Maria (2017), not 2017 Hurricane Maria. However, at this time the 2017 hurricane of that name is the primary topic associated with the name and hence does not currently require disambiguation by year. If you would like to propose a move, do so at the article's Talk page. General Ization Talk 15:29, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Hurricane Maria. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. B dash (talk) 02:13, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! GSK (talk • edits) 13:03, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
