Template:History of China
[edit]I have again reverted your additions to this template, for reasons I have explained on the talk page. Per the bold, revert, discuss cycle, the next step is for you to discuss your proposed changes on the talk page, not to attempt to force them in. Kanguole 12:28, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Republic of China (1912–1949) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - Please don't add to the infobox, as you did in Republic of China (1912–1949) (Special:Diff/877732010). Infobox already using small text , which extra pair of is against Manual of Style of infobox. Matthew hk (talk) 15:16, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
Nationalist government
[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Nationalist government. Matthew hk (talk) 15:24, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- I don't care which faction in the edit war. However, the following code is legit for the National Emblem and you just blatantly revert to your faction version , which broke the layout
| symbol_type = National Emblem |symbol_type_article = Blue Sky with a White Sun
Matthew hk (talk) 15:27, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Also, wikipedia use relevant SVG map when available. Which you removed it. Matthew hk (talk) 15:27, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
Chairperson of the Nationalist government
[edit]Please participated in Talk:Nationalist government#Chairperson or i would consider this is the last warning for adding material without proper citation of WP:RS. Matthew hk (talk) 15:31, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
Map
[edit]Would you mind open a thread in Talk:Nationalist government to tell me the reason to replace SVG map to jpg? Please read Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Diagrams and maps: "It is preferable that diagrams and maps be saved in the SVG file format. ". Yes the map can be replaced with non-SVG more appropriate version, but you did not discussed with other user nor naming the reason in edit summary. Moreover, before the edit war, the article use that SVG file. Special:Permalink/854971720. Matthew hk (talk) 16:45, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- actually the template had
|alt_map=
, but which maps should be chose, need discussion. File:Nationalist_government_of_Nanking_-_nominally_ruling_over_entire_China,_1930_(2675972715).jpg was authored by Japanese, which is at war with China at that time, at well as involving the question on the purpose of the article. If the purpose was an article for a period of the Republic of China (1912–1949), then File:Second Sino-Japanese War WW2.png and File:Situation at the End of World War Two.PNG may also relevant, or other map showing communist controlled zone before 1949.
