[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Airport names
[edit]Do not move articles to titles that contradict the English language sources given in the article. The government of the People's Republic of China and their aviation authority the CAAC has official names in other languages. Those names are not always the Hanyu pinyin transliterations from Putonghua. For example, Karamay Guhai Airport is indeed the official name, which you should have known if you read the citations in the article. Yue🌙 04:23, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- The name I edited is from CAAC document exactly, for your example, "Karamay Airport" has renamed "Kelamayi Guhai Airport" (source: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/Fot2PzO4fRuzt23MZxi5yQ), contrary to your thoughts, the english airport name is mixed use of Pinyin and Transliteration now. 二武是大猫 (talk) 08:17, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 09:39, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- hello, i should post the source that confirm "Kashi Laining International Airport" when I undo the movement, do you see? 二武是大猫 (talk) 09:41, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Don't "undo the movement" without discussing it and providing sources (in English) FIRST. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 09:45, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- wierd, it usually post Chinese sources too, and it also can confirm that the reality of name. and I provided the source to confirm the name is "Kashi", you pretend to not see it (the reason I didn't post this source in the article is already existing the similar SOURCE 5). 二武是大猫 (talk) 09:54, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

- You need to prove that the majority of English sources call it "Kashi" and not "Kashgar" BEFORE it can be moved. English, not Chinese. And nobody is "pretending" anything. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 09:59, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- LOL, everyone can move with reasonable reason, including referance of chinese news. you refuse it because you just argue with me. by the way, it was kashi airport manager to ask me to change the name from "Kashgar" to "Kashi" for a particular purpose, did you need to call him 09982928018? 二武是大猫 (talk) 10:08, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

If you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Kashgar Laining International Airport, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 10:21, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- I added the ENGLISH source, you say "nobody is pretending anything"? LOL 二武是大猫 (talk) 10:29, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- You need more than that. And using chat abbreviations in a discussion here makes you sound like a child. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 10:31, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Your recent edit(s) to the page Kashgar Laining International Airport appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 10:28, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- wierd, I always post the official article or document, you always post your own subjective opinion. Wikipedia is updated in real-time, and Chinese news is rarely translated into English news frequently, while you are demanding the provision of English resources. and then, I added the English source as your demand, but you don't know the CHINA AIP website is "www.eaipchina.cn" and consider it's unofficial source. all is your subjective opinion, isn't it? 二武是大猫 (talk) 10:58, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's policies for page moves are hardly "my subjective opinion". - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 16:05, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
Possible COI Notification
[edit]Good day! Thanks for editing! I noticed in one of your comments that you said you worked for CAAC. Please be aware of the Conflict of Interest rules. You should disclose your association with CAAC on talk pages of the articles that are associated with CAAC, including CAAC-subsidiary owned airports, that you edit. nf utvol (talk) 23:13, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- I'm sorry I can't disclose personal information due to sensitive environment in China, but everything I edited you can find related news and document. and if you want, I can post you some public caac website to show the reality of my edited version, like search the undisclosed icao codes of new airport: http://59.46.21.13/dbinfo/app/common/airrpt/index 二武是大猫 (talk) 15:04, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
- There are no prohibitions against affiliated persons making uncontroversial edits, though you still are expected to disclose a COI. You've already mentioned your association in other contexts, so I'm unsure of what additional sensitivities you're concerned with. Additionally, you are not expected to post any personal information other than your publicly available username and the association that creates the COI, thereby retaining a level of anonymity in the process (at least as much as already exists as an editor). Kindly take a moment to use the template at WP:DISCLOSE to tag the talk pages of all CAAC-affiliated entries you have edited. Continued editing without disclosing your COI in the appropriate, accepted manner will require that this be brought up through the COI noticeboard. If you do not wish to disclose your COI, it would be best to simply cease editing CAAC-related articles and to undo COI edits you've already made. nf utvol (talk) 18:50, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
- well, i just think i can edit the article by related public sources that I had posted in the article as a private account, and I never say that i can edit the article unreasonably because the reason is "I'm a caac worker", right? it seems like only if i show my profile, i could edit the article, meanwhile none of common person could edit the article about airport with obvious references or sources? if so, I'm out 二武是大猫 (talk) 16:37, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
