Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! 220 of ßorg 23:54, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The Show preview button is right next to the Publish changes button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Sumanuil. 06:54, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan Toll Road, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 08:26, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Could you explain what your aim was in changing the image sizes? Maybe I can suggest a way to achieve the effect without violating WP:IMAGESIZE? 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 13:42, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You know, it was a thumbnail, and I changed it into a basic image, with the captions being there when you click it. Āčēģīķļņsūž (talk) 14:09, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How about using {{gallery}}? I think that will do a nicer job in multiple ways. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 16:09, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How do I use it? Āčēģīķļņsūž (talk) 03:15, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry no, I distracted myself with the coins, which are already in a gallery (just a simple raw html, template:gallery is more sophisticated and supports alt= tags, see next). We can't use gallery for the banknote tables.
The advantage of thumb over fixed size is that it adjusts for the user's settings and screen size. In terms of what happens when you click on it, I see no difference. The other advantage of thumb is that it provides a facility to add a description of the image (for blind visitors) using alt tags, see WP:THUMB. The article doesn't use alt= tags, it should. --𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 09:18, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
