Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Schifirnet.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 14:25, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Schifirnet.JPG

Thanks for uploading File:Schifirnet.JPG. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 11:27, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Taraxacum, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Romanian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks for arguing for better graphs

I'm still laughing at your "Why can't we have what Canada has?" from the USA coronavirus page. Thanks for advocating for some conformity on the graphs. When your country (I'm Canadian) is fighting hard not to be the next Italy or the next USA, it's nice to be able to compare the graphs easily. I like the bar charts because they allow me to scrape the data easily for my own graphs, which I scale by population for a fairer comparison. - R 75.157.179.170 (talk) 16:32, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

Thank you. I'll fight the good fight :). And let's say that the sentence "Why can't we have what Canada has?" was strategically placed, shall we? ;). Take care. WikiUser70176 (talk) 18:52, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Brassica oleracea, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Botrytis and Acephala. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Edit war

COMMENT: There is an ongoing ANI about this and until it ends I will keep this section so the admins and overseers can find it easily, unless instructed to do otherwise by an admin.

The mystery is: why do you think I was writing that about you? You were probably not born yet at the time we are discussing. tgeorgescu (talk) 22:00, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

It really infuriated you because I refused to engage you, to revert you edits, and enter an edit-war, didn't it? Please stop posting on my page for no reason. This is tantamount to harassing. I am much older, experienced, and educated than you, I say without humility because you need to hear it, apparently. You are not hard to find. I was editing a page on non-controversial linguistic taxonomy, widely acknowledged, aka Romanian is a Romance language, for cryin' out loud :))) What's wrong with you?! Bringing politics and weird ethnogenesis stuff into the mix, stuff you obviously hold very strong opinions about but know very little, just as obviously. De exemplu, despre Piața Palatului, acum Revoluției, pe 21 Decembrie 1989... You know how you know people who were there, who lived it, in the thick of it, then and years before that, day after day on Calea Victoriei? We keep our mouth shut when we encounter people like you, with agendas, we keep our distance, because we know the truth is both simpler and more complicated than one-sided conspiracy theorists like you want it to be. Stop showing your ignorance, especially on my page. Nobody provoked you, I did not revert any of your edits no matter how ignorant, misguided, and POV pushing they are. If you really want to improve Wikipedia, we can work together, I don't hold grudges. For real. We can put this behind us, whatever "this" is, because I am, frankly, dumbfounded by your unprovoked reactions. But if all you want is validation for idiotic behavior, my page is not the venue and my patience for childish tantrums has limits. ♦ WikiUser70176 ♦(My talk page) 23:43, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
You have absolutely no reason to feel offended by my attacks upon National-Communism. tgeorgescu (talk) 23:47, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
Ok. I'm not. Friends? ♦ WikiUser70176 ♦(My talk page) 23:51, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
I simply don't get how you could be much older than me. I was born in 1973, you were born around 1978. tgeorgescu (talk) 23:58, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
Among other things, I teach Graduate and undergraduate classes. Some students, albeit a minuscule minority, can be... well, I try to keep my identity as private as possible, but, really I am not that hard to find for the determinate digger. And I was not born in 1978. ♦ WikiUser70176 ♦(My talk page) 00:13, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
I'll reveal something here, as a token of a new friendship. If you can figure out what 70176 is from my signature, drop me an email. Hint: is a pre-1989 reference. ♦ WikiUser70176 ♦(My talk page) 00:23, 12 May 2023 (UTC)

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Spinach, you may be blocked from editing. Your interpretations from various sources unrelated to spinach specifically are WP:SYNTHESIS, and are unconstructive. Stick to WP:MEDRS sources for health-related content. Zefr (talk) 18:11, 12 May 2023 (UTC)

I am genuinely not understanding what you refer to. I certainly intended no such transgressions. I am not as seasoned as you. I'll read the links you put here and get back to you ♦ WikiUser70176 ♦(My talk page) 18:19, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
On my talk page, you said: "I noticed you reverted my edit [1] saying: the new generation of anticoagulants, like apixaban, dabigatran and rivaroxaban are not vitamin K inhibitors and, therefore, the spinach consumption shouldn't present a problem for these patients, with the explanation "nothing to do with spinach". The sentence mentions spinach specifically. Since the previous sentence is warning people who take warfarin to reduce spinach consumption, I thought mentioning that there is a new generation of anticoagulants there that lets the patient enjoy spinach to their heart's delight, might be worth knowing. Could you please explain your reasoning? Also, you deleted my reference from NIH (for warfarin-spinach warning) and left the Mayo clinic, arguably a less reputable website than NIH for the same subject. Maybe that was a typo, in which case I can put it back. Disclaimer: I don't often interact with editors so I don't know if this is appropriate to put on your page or to start a discussion on the Spinach Talk page. I thought this is a minor thing, not worth a full discussion. As you are a more seasoned editor than I, please assume good faith in this inquiry of mine and don't snap at me (I had a weird few days on Wikipedia)."
Although a sentence can state a fact about spinach->vitamin K->new types of antiocoagulants, the sources you inserted were not about spinach consumption specifically, so are not appropriate in the spinach article. By making these connections, you are "synthesizing" (WP:SYNTH) between what might be stated by a source like Mayo Clinic or NIH, and what the sources on anticoagulants say. Physicians give this advice routinely, and the NIH source is from 2012, so the Mayo Clinic source is fine.
You had previously made similar edits a week ago, then reinserted them today. Lutein is not an antioxidant in vivo. Its role in biology is only presumed from in vitro studies. Here is a useful review. Good luck. Zefr (talk) 18:34, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
Got it! I'll stick to direct statement of fact, no implications. Like for real peer-review pubs (when I wrote in peer-pub style, long ago, I was told that is no appropriate for Wikipedia, it's not a scientific treatise). I will do my best, but should I make mistakes again, please understand that they are not intentional and I have no agenda or strong opinions, because I tend to edit pages where I am not an expert (I do hold strong opinions when I know what I'm doing, but I hate edit warring with unbridled passion, so I stay well away from my fields of expertise). Anyway, thanks for explaining and not being nasty about it. Cheers! ♦ WikiUser70176 ♦(My talk page) 18:50, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
The Synthesis thing definitely applies, I was not aware. My bad, I will be more careful in the future. Please remember WP:GOODFAITH, ok? I have no hidden agenda on spinach or anything else, I was just trying to improve the page.
Why did you delete the NIH reference for the warfarin and left the arguably less respectable, by comparison, Mayo Clinic website, though? Anyway, if you feel so strongly about ti, leave it out, is not that relevant to the essence of the page, though I thought and NIH reference may improve credibility. ♦ WikiUser70176 ♦(My talk page) 18:36, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
