His father, Dr Murgesh R Nirani , is the former Minister for large and Mega scale industries and minister of mines and geology in the government of Karnatka, as well as a member of the legislative assembly for Bilgi Constituency.
His mother, Smt Kamala Nirani , manages the educational institutes associated with their family group. Vijay Nirani and they have two sons.

Vijay Nirani is the managing director of the Nirani group and the co-founder of TruAlt Bioenergy. Nirani has a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting from James cook university in Singapore and a master's degree in Global Family Managed Business from SP Jain School of Global Management.
In the year 2021, Mr. Vijay Nirani founded TruAlt Bioenergy, an innovative and trailblazing entity operating within India's burgeoning Biofuels and bioenergy sector.
He manages the finances and marketing operations for Ratna Cements, a cement production unit in MRN group. He also manages the banking enterprise, Souharda Credit society which aims to expand banking facilities.
He has spoken at events such as the Leaders of tomorrow awards, where he discussed his startup and the importance of small businesses.
