Iamascorp (talk · contribs) Claims to be the legal dept, for IAMAS Corporation here (Formerly AMAAA) Wrote both articles (possibly via a sockpuppet below) Uses language like:

I beleive Iamas Corporation manages David_L._Cook (at the bottom of [1], his official page carries a copyright by IAMAS) which, they seem to be getting into a dispute with Wikipediatrix (talk · contribs) over. Wikipediatrix has an extremely short fuse, and could quickly escalate the situation, from what I've seen....

Et cetra. Worries me...

Iamascorp created Mickey Hitter and made edits to David L. Cook. Comments by that user use "we" and "us" and have been variously signed "Carl Taylor" and "Daylon Ware". According to the contact information on David L. Cook's own web site, Mr Cook's agents are "Daylon Ware or Mickey Hiter c/o IAMAS Corporation".

  • Another piece of this puzzle: User:CyclePat also seems to be affiliated with this corporation and/or legal department. Look at these comments here and here. Being a lawyer myself, I cringe seeing the words "client" and "advocacy" here on Wikipedia (this is where I go to get away from all that crap!). Anyways, not really sure what is going on here... just FYI. --Satori Son 17:18, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

69.134.2.43 (talk · contribs) Possible sock of the above. Started the articles Iamas is editing now, writes in the same style, edits all the same articles.

User:Iamascorp posted to the account's User page: "There is only one person who edits these entries" and goes on to sign it "Carl Taylor", despite the fact that other User:Iamascorp posts are signed "Daylon Ware". wikipediatrix 15:34, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure if these folks are really the 'Legal dept' or just trying to bully a user into letting them write the article in thier own POV, but this looks to have the potential to go south... --негіднийлють (Reply|Spam Me!*|RfS) 20:31, 12 December 2005 (UTC)

IAMAS and "IAMAS Corporation"

[edit]

According to the Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences/International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences web site, IAMAS is "an Institute for masters course and a vocational school" in Japan, with electronic mailboxes in the domain iamas.ac.jp.. The "IAMAS Corporation" listed here, however, appears to be an agent for musicians such as Caroline Keller and David L. Cook, with a postal address that is a PO box in Monroe, North Carolina and an electronic mailbox on AOL.

69.134.2.43 created IAMAS Corporation, which Iamascorp edited half an hour later. Iamascorp has used a link to that article in several of xyr signatures, such as here, and that article implies that IAMAS and "IAMAS Corporation" are one and the same. Uncle G 01:52, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
